Bodies Audience Reviews

StunnaKrypto Self-important, over-dramatic, uninspired.
Aedonerre I gave this film a 9 out of 10, because it was exactly what I expected it to be.
Jenni Devyn Worth seeing just to witness how winsome it is.
Dana An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.
cass1810-1 This was a fantastic TV programme - completely riveting viewing. The whole cast were brilliantly portrayed and I must say that Max Beesley was someone I was raving about to everyone and was quite astonished that so many people had never heard of the programme - it would be good if it could be shown on BBC1 - I am sure it would attract a great number of viewers if only to see Max Beesley! What a sexy man and such a great actor. I had only known him from being a sessions musician with Robbie Williams and for making a few dubious films but Bodies definitely gave him the standing he deserves. I wish there was a another series in the pipeline - I would be glued to the TV!
annemik We are watching this BBC drama now and have two more episodes to go. It is excellent! Max Beesley is superb and the series itself is compelling if a bit on the "oh my God, I can't believe they are showing that on TV" side. It is a very realistic portrayal of an intern or new resident in a private British hospital. The attitudes of the management and some of the staff are inexplicable and I hope they are an exaggeration of fact. The sex scenes are more explicit then anything I've ever seen on regular cable in the U.S. and it is better than ER at making the surgeries realistic - definitely not for the squeamish. Although very disturbing, it is worth watching. Every minute is filled with intensity.
gopac79 Excellent and compelling viewing, I don't know how realistic it is as I am not an expert but it is well worth the watch. I have waited in vain for this program to appear on standard terrestrial but to date it has only been shown on digital TV. BBC Three has been coming up with some real nuggets like this but they have mostly been below the radar, with very few of them making a cross over to BBC Two in an attempt to tease the wider public into going digital. This is great drama but has not yet convinced me into making the switch to digital. I normally go over to my mate's house that has got digital TV to watch it. This show was so good that I would make the trek to watch it.I feel that the program would really take off given a wider audience; I think it is a prime candidate for the switch to BBC Two. As well as potential for international export to places like the states and Europe.I like many others are keenly awaiting the beginning of the second season of Bodies, this show is too good not to have a follow up.
milliek1983 I have been following this fantastic drama over the last few weeks. It was gripping. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Every week I kept thinking of a very small swear word to describe Dr Hurley.I read the book and as Jed Mercurio rightly points out his book taken straight from page to screen would not have worked. I am pleased with the way in which he has handled the transition and made it real in a way that only television and the screen can do. I felt that by making Donna Rix and Rob Lake older than their characters in the book (21 and 24 if i remember rightly) their lives held a better realm of realism. Max Beesley was far more believable as a doctor rather than trying to find a younger actor to play the part. When he makes mistakes you feel as though as an experienced doctor he should have known better. All in all bodies was a fantastic piece of drama and my only point of criticism is that the ending of the series was a little abrupt, especially if this is to be a one off drama. I hope not as the doors have been widely left open. I hope to see a DVD release and a new series.
