Cassandra Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.
jfcampinell Blood Ties is a relatively entertaining series with a storyline that could only have come from the writers at Lifetime. The series begins on a promising note with a gorgeous male vampire and a beautiful private investigator. And since this is Lifetime, there is a love triangle. This investigator must choose between the beautiful and mysterious vampire and her police officer ex-boyfriend and partner. However, the writers at Lifetime decided to throw in a number of random facts about these characters that are completely irrelevant and only serve to make the script more complicated (but not necessarily more interesting). For instance, our beautiful vampire also writes comic books and our private investigator is slowly going blind. This show was interesting and at times fun, but also frustrating. The end of the second and final season was extremely disappointing. The series leaves off on a depressing episode that gives the viewer no resolution to any of the central issues in the storyline. This show's saving grace? Kyle Schmid (Henry Fitzroy) is gorgeous.
Danielleturple I will admit I was excited when I heard there was a show of Tanya Huffs amazing book series. The show was sadly disappointing. The acting is good, but I could never get past the fact that Tony Foster (who later has a series of his own) was completely removed from the story. They could have done so much better with this series if they hadn't changed so much. Tanya's original gritty world and darkly sarcastic humour is lost in an attempt to make the show less frightening and Henry more "friendly". A comic book writer? Really? The vampire shows of today are just a regurgitation of the past, and while the books stood out the show simply doesn't.
olympias-2 This was truly a great show. Lifetime really bites for cutting it. It's too bad we will never see the love that grows stronger between Vicki and Henry Fitzroy and the fact that in the end he turns her into a vampire to save her life. I can say that now that we will probably never see the series unless HBO or Showtime or Sci-Fi pick it up. I can't say enough good things about Klye Schmid, sexy!! talented beyond his years winning smile, talent, he will go on to be a bigger star, but he was perfect as Henry Fitzroy. If you read about the real henry, you can tell Tanya Huff, did her homework as he did die under mysterious circumstances, TB at the time. He was Henry the eight's illegitimate son and was about to be recognized as an heir before his death at 17. Kyle played this royal heir off extremely well. I will truly mourn this series. I am glad I have all of the episodes and will forever long for more. A TRUE FAN
missyfawn113 i love love love this show. Christina cox kicks some major supernatural but in this. i love her, she is such a great actress. this is the best show on lifetime and they would be stupid to cancel this show. if they do, i hope sci-fi picks it up cause i will discontinue watching lifetime network if the show is canceled. this show is so great and i love the vampire genre. it is nice to see a strong woman on t.v. this is like a buffy the vampire slayer but all grown up. the cast is excellent. the story lines are awesome and the love triangle really is real and gut wrenching. if u haven't seen this show yet. try watching it one time and u will be hooked if not bitten by the show.
