Bleach Audience Reviews

PlatinumRead Just so...so bad
CommentsXp Best movie ever!
WillSushyMedia This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.
Livestonth I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible
Milton Willacey This is the most awesome anime ever!!!!!! 10/10 zanpaktous!!!!I noticed the rating for Bleach is 8.8/10. I'm adding my own comment here in an attempt to get that beyond 9.When I first started watching Bleach it was because I had nothing else to do, i caught it around episode 5. After i watched two shows i was completely hooked. I love everything, the characters, the animation everything! I was running around like a mad woman trying to catch up on the episodes. For main characters we have Ichigo: A normal 15 year old boy, except for the fact he can see spirits. He's torn up over his mothers death and he's angry. Rukia: A past soul reaper who's lost her powers helps Ichigo all while trying to understand him. Kon: A mod spirit who is actually really funny, i love that he was added to the show.Once you start watching your captivated for the next half hour, as soon as i turn on Bleach the next thing i know its over. There are no words to explain how much i love this show, and i know i'm not the only one. It is wonderful to live in a fantasy world and that is the reason Bleach is so watchable. The excellent scripted storyline and wonderful varied characters will bring out the child in every man or woman. Watching the character of Ichigo develops from a normal kid to one that has super-natural powers is a rewarding journey, not to mention his what-you-call-that powerful 'bankai' that enables him to prevail in most of his battles with other powerful villains. The ups and downs throughout the journey from resisting turning into a hollow to becoming a Shinigami had made this series so much enjoyable to watch. Coupled with his allies, from the cute little girl who can summon cute little angels to the cool-looking bloke with his deadly bow and arrows, and not to mention the powerful and indestructible Byakuya(did I spell that correctly?). Man talking about that guy. I saw him taking down Ichigo in one chapter without much effort at all along the alley on one fateful night which he took Rukia to Soul Society with him after that, leaving Ichigo as good as dead. I then thought to myself, how the hell is Ichigo going to bring his level up to that of Byakuya's if he were to match his powers and to save Rukia from the gallows? Anticipating what's going to happen next, the show ended. booo... Wait till the next episode comes by. duh.... See? The level of addiction is high as every time you anticipate the twists and turns of the story 30 minutes had passed.
lostinmyworld53 Some need-to-know information before I provide my review: I'm a 27-year-old female who ALWAYS poo-poo'ed on all anime ever. I was stubborn and closed-minded. My fiancé caught an episode of Bleach one night on Cartoon Network, became obsessed and tried to convince me to try ONE episode... I still refused. One boring day, fiancé convinced me to give him ONE HOUR (about 3 episodes) of Bleach to see if I changed my mind, and boy did I. I have become absolutely, unhealthily obsessed with this show and although I'm only on episode 142, I'm sad that it ends "soon" (366 episodes).Seasons 1-3 have an amazing story arc that is absolutely impossible to tear away from. The story arc beginning in season 4, for me, was an incredible let-down. Had I not been in bed with mono, I would have quit then. Luckily it picked up again and I'm back to fangirling like a teenager. As mentioned, I'm in the middle of season 7 at this time and obviously cannot vouch for the remaining seasons. Currently, the plot is engaging, the characters are well developed, and the desire to see what could happen next is kept strong. Give it a shot!
kadiotatsuryu Among anime series or Shonen series, Bleach is an epically interesting anime about 15-17 year old young man that has the curious ability to see ghosts. because of this, she sees a Soul Reaper on a mission named Rukia.(Their job is to either help the dead pass on to the afterlife, or vanquish evil souls called Hollows with swords called Zanpakuto. Long Story short, Rukia saves Ichigo from an attacking Hollow with her powers and gets pretty injured. Unable to fight, Rukia asks Ichigo to take her powers and save his family, which he agrees to do. Ichigo from then on became known as The Substitute Soul Reaper. The show basically revolves around him trying to balance his secret life as a basically Stand-In Grim Reaper and his average high school life. While Rukia regains her powers, it's up to Ichigo to save lives and help the dead move on. It's a tough job that he didn't bargain for at first, but he later chooses he wants to protect people, and executes his duties as a Substitute. Now don't get fooled, the story changes pace as you go on. Spoilers, but we find out that what "Team Substitiute" did was forbidden. The story goes from normal adventures to a more serious battle to save Rukia from execution at the hands of Soul Society, the place where Soul Reapers come from. They mean well, but when the i$h hits the fan, Ichigo doesn't care. He meets a bunch of friends in his class with strange powers of their own and they team up to rescue Rukia in The Soul Society Arc. Bleach is a great anime, but honestly, it has a plot I can't explain or even tell enough in just a few paragraphs. Unlike most other anime, Bleach is a story in which the main character has no one specific goal he must achieve. It's not bad, just different. The action in Bleach is phenomenal and EPIC(bait gory though)!! If action anime is what you want, you'll love this anime. Bleach gives us some of the most epic scenes with Ichigo. He's not okay with the heartless way things work in Soul Society and shows everyone that even though he's just human, he became one of the most powerful and dangerous Soul Reapers of all time! You'll learn to love the dynamic of the main characters and their abilities. One annoying thing is that the characters, especially Ichigo, tend to get a crazy power-up every single arc, which gets Super annoying at times. The animations of the show are fantastic most times and make fights beautiful. Music is also pretty fresh and helps a lot to hype up intense moments in the anime. All anime have issues with fillers, but another issue with Bleach is that it's fillers don't even fit in the canon plot of the series, like returning characters who are supposed to be gone like Rukia in The Bount Arc. Plus, most of it's filler arcs aren't that entertaining and appear when the canon story is really intense. You also have to consider that the story is almost a knock-off of YuYu Hakusho. They both have a notorious but average high-school kid that can fight and they get involved with spirits and get jobs dealing with them. But I can't say it totally copied though, because it has a lot of awesome original content itself.Another thing you gotta love about Bleach is the dynamic and relationship between characters. Ichigo cares deeply for each of his friends, especially his main gang of five, and oddly, he has a pretty awesome back-story with each of them, like Sado(or Chad), who fight for each other's backs and Orehime, a pretty beautiful girl in his grade that has a crush on Ichigo. There's also Uryū, the Quincy( a near extinct race of people who kill hollows that rival Soul Reapers) who has a rival-type bond with him. There's a lot of emotion to the series and one thing about Bleach is that of all anime-viewers, it appeals best to high-school teenagers, and maybe those kids and teens that were forced to grow up early cause they lost their mom or dad or maybe both and had to man up. Ichigo's like one of the first non-rambunctious happy-attitude main characters to care so much about his pals, and he's ready to push himself beyond his limits to turn his anger and love into strength, probably why he pulls power-ups out the @$$ all the time. So over all, Bleach is an Extremely great anime with tons of blade action, hand-to-hand action, a nice but repeatedly shifting plot, a wide variety of characters, a stupid amount of confusing names and facts for things, not much romance(understandable) and pretty funny! Name:Bleach Main Character: Ichigo Kurosaki Hair Color: Orange Eye Color: Brown Score: Awesome, Epic and Bad@$$! 9.3/10 or just 9
Srinath Wyvern Well it's been hardly 3 weeks since I noticed this Anime in Otaku forums & I've already finished the 366+ episodes (without fillers that is!)The description of Bleach is well written, so I'll not stress on that part.Mainly there are 5 things in this anime:1. Trash Talk 2. Awesome Music 3. Well thought out story-line & flow of episodes 4. Mind-boggling action 5. Intriguing charactersIchigo is that kind of kid everyone tries to be...cool, powerful & having a secret! He wishes to protect the things that are near & dear to him. But one fine night all that changes. He learns things that he couldn't have imagined & is caught in a web of events that will change not only his life but also his soul.If you consider yourself an Anime/Manga fan, then you need to have this in your collection. Recommended for ages 13+ (refer parent guidelines).(P.S. Do yourself a favor & skip all Filler episodes)
