American Juniors is an American reality television singing competition series that was broadcast for one season, in 2003, on the Fox Network. The series was a spin-off of American Idol, but with younger contestants, and had the same production team as American Idol: it was created by Simon Fuller and 19 Entertainment, along with FremantleMedia, and directed by Bruce Gowers, and produced by Nigel Lythgoe and Ken Warwick. However, unlike American Idol, the goal of the competition was not to find a single winner, but rather to create a singing group of five of the contestants. In this way, American Juniors more closely resembled the British series S Club Search, which had produced the group S Club Juniors. The only season of American Juniors aired in the summer of 2003. It was taped in Hollywood, California.

American Juniors Audience Reviews

ActuallyGlimmer The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
Allison Davies The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
Brennan Camacho Mostly, the movie is committed to the value of a good time.
Lela The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.
morphzvivor I do not understand why people never gave this show a chance. It is okay to watch American Idol because the contestants are older? Why does that matter? Sure, some of these contestants have not even reached double-digits in their age, but you would never know based on the talent. Several contestants on this show, would blow away those seen on American Idol. Nobody in the Top 10 of Juniors was bad. There were some (Lucy Hale, Danielle White) who I have no doubt would WIN Idol if they tried out. In fact, I would say that Lucy and Danielle, outside of maybe three or four people, are a million times better in terms of VOCALS than anybody who has ever appeared on Idol. If you were to hear an MP3 of Danielle White without knowing anything about her, there would be NO WAY to tell that voice is a child. It sounds like the best singers of today. It's awful that people never gave these kids a chance just because they are young. Simon has often said on Idol your age doesn't matter, if you have IT, you have it. The entire Top 10 of this show HAD IT.
Gellarfanno1 I thought this show was amazing and that there should be a second season, because kids that didn't make groups still got good opportunities. I think the age limit should be from 9-14. It should be aired on like Disney channel and nickelodeon so it get's more ratings. take this comment into consideration.I know it would be a bigger success. There is a petition online for a second season of American juniors. That's how much people love the show.If you did have a second season i know you would have so much more ratings. Please make all kids dreams come true! I know my whole school would watch it just to cheer me on.
