One of the biggest Polish film premieres of 2012 and eagerly anticipated for over a decade, it is the story of the late 90s generation and the three friends behind the music: Magik, Focus and Rahim. The fact-based film directed by Leszek Dawid charts the relentless struggle for success of Paktofonika, against the backdrop of crumbling traditional values in dreary 90s Silesia. The contradictory ideals of hiphop - the rebellious, edgy lyrics against the ‘system’ juxtaposed with the money and fame sought by the artists - are superbly captured in this dark, unforgettable drama.

Zlatica One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.
Raymond Sierra The film may be flawed, but its message is not.
Bob This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
Filip Pilat (polishfc) Jestes Bogiem is honestly a great drama I would have to argue a bit with being a Biography as even in an interview with Fokus and Rahim, they admit that the movie, although being true as possible, had to leave out facts due to time. The movies seems to show how the group Paktofonika came to be in what seems to be a matter of days. But in reality the group did not just get together it took time. Rahim and Fokus didn't just go to Magik, who was already a prominent hip-hop artist at that time, and they all agreed on forming the group after a few meetings. The actors were overall good , Marcin Kowalczyk playing Magik was superb. While in Kaliber 44, Magik had a distinctive ways of rapping the lyrics and I would have to say Marcin Kowalczyk nearly nails it. A few cool facts through the movie Marcin Kowalczyk is actually wearing Magik's old cloths and is using Magik's actual headphones. It's a great movie for everyone not only fans of hip-hop. I gave it a 9 because the videography could be improved and the microphone popping out through various times during the movie is somewhat annoying. But beside the that the movie is a great watch, i recommend it highly,
fbabka2 Hi all, just saw this movie and really enjoyed the music in it and the story. but. i don't mean to be overly critical, but the amount of times you can see the microphone above people talking is ridiculous. looks like it's been made by a bunch of high school kids effectively. this, and the average acting of the main characters brings the movie down to upper scale of average. it's a shame, as it could have been much better. overall, for any fans of polish hip hop it's a must see. I don't think I would watch this movie again.6-7 out of 10.spoko :)
