WWE WrestleMania XXIV Audience Reviews

Stevecorp Don't listen to the negative reviews
Dorathen Better Late Then Never
HomeyTao For having a relatively low budget, the film's style and overall art direction are immensely impressive.
PiraBit if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.
davielee15 Wrestlemania 24 will go down in history in the top 5 greatest wrestlemanias of all time. WM20 was suppose to be the greatest but it wasn't. WM21 was good but not great. WM22 was great but one of the least favorites of the greatest. WM23I thought was a good show also but very disappointed with the match card. This years set new standards for this new WWE style today particularly having no blood and still had great matches. No spoilers. I hope not.Match #1- Belfast Brawl JBL vs. Finlay- This was a very good opener with a lot of weapons and a lot of hardcore moves. 7/10 very good match.Match #2- Money in the bank ladder match- The greatest MITB match ever. Everybody shined in this match. You can even see how the sky when from daylight to dark blue sky and it was an incredible sight especially when the winner celebrated. 9/10 superb!Match #3- Batista vs. Umaga- While their entrances were spectacular, the match was not spectacular at all and is a breakdown on this show. However it had a good start and a good ending. 4/10 mediocre.Match #4- ECW Championship match- Chavo vs. Kane- I can't rate this match because Kane deserved it. Match #5- Career threatening match- Ric Flair vs. HBK- Wow! What an emotional match. When I first saw this I was merely impressed, but the second time I watched it, I really enjoyed it more.Perfect wrestlemania match/moment. 10/10 perfect.Match #6- Playboy bunnymania- Not a bad match at all. It had tremendous, tremendous lights and atmosphere. It also had decent wrestling for a women's match. Be sure to watch Santinio's appearance in this match. He was hilarious. 5/10.decent.Match #7- 3 Men WWE title match- Randy Orton vs. Cena vs. HHH- I did not know this was not the main event and I was surprised! I was shocked who turned out to be the winner! 7/10. very solid title match.Match #8- Floyd money mayweather vs. Big Show- With a no DQ stripulations added, this proved to be an entertaining encounter. 8/10 Great.Match #9- World Heavyweight title match Edge vs. Taker- It had a great video package leading up to this match and both of these men deserved to be in the main event. It was interesting because not only was Taker undefeated at Wrestlemania but Edge was also. It was a huge roller coaster ride and a great way to end a really superb ppv the WWE has not put on for a long time. What a relief. SUPERB! 9/10Overall PPV: perfect 10/10.
jts0405 Wrestlemania 24 was entitled the Biggest Wrestlemania Under the Sun, mainly because of the location. The event was held in sunny Orlando, Florida in the Citrus Bowl. A very great event for WWE, it isn't as bad as they all say.WWE.com Match: 24 Man Interpromotional Battle Royal for an ECW Championship Match against Chavo Guerrero later in the night - This was a great chance to give the unrecognized WWE talent a chance to shine at the biggest event of the year. The match was dominated by the larger wrestlers and the more experienced wrestlers. In the end Kane eliminates Mark Henry to earn an ECW Title shot against Chavo Guerrero later on during Wrestlemania.Match 1: Finlay vs JBL in a Belfast Brawl - A great opening match. JBL plays the ultimate heel in this feud. He taunts Hornswoggle throughout the match and even throws weapons at him. Finlay is out for blood and revenge and takes the fight to JBL with chairs, trash cans, trash can lids, etc. They go all out and this was honestly a fantastic opener. JBL is able to grab the unexpected win in the end after catching Finlay with a clothesline from hell.Match 2: John Morrison vs CM Punk vs Mr. Kennedy vs Shelton Benjamin vs MVP vs Carlito vs Chris Jericho in the Money in the Bank Ladder match - This was a huge transition for ECW. Last year only one competitor (CM Punk) represented ECW in this featured Wrestlemania match, but this year ECW had a grand total of three men involved. This was an absolute crowd pleaser kind of match. John Morrison really shined in his first Money in the Bank performance. He really did some great stuff to make this match watchable. In the end CM Punk is able to fight off Jericho to grab the case. Punk is definitely deserving of this.Match 3: Batista vs Umaga in a Battle for Brand Supremacy - This is a point in Batista's career in which he shouldn't be losing. Umaga can afford a loss at this point in his career for example. Batista comes out all hyped for it being Wrestlemania, but as soon as the match begins he gets destroyed by Umaga. Umaga dominates this whole match and doesn't even give Batista a chance. After all the abuse Batista gets all riled up and nails Umaga with a Batista Bomb for the win. Lousy match that made Batista look bad.Match 4: Chavo Guerrero (c) vs Kane for the ECW Championship - This was the first time the ECW Title was ever defended at Wrestlemania. Chavo Guerrero makes a very long entrance and as soon as Kane's music hits were all waiting for him to make his entrance, but he isn't there. Then all of a sudden he comes up from behind Chavo, hits a chokeslam and scores the win. Kane is the new ECW Champion after only an 8 second match.Match 5: Shawn Michaels vs Ric Flair in a Career Threatening Match - Match of the night for sure. Michaels put on another stellar Wrestlemania performance, as well as Flair. This was Ric Flair's last match and he delivered a great performance. This was better than his Career Threatening matches with MVP and Mr. Kennedy in the past. Michaels really brought the best out of Flair and even though fans were upset to see Flair go they were glad to see them both deliver a 10/10 match. Worth the price of the whole pay per view. Match of the night.Match 6: Beth Phoenix & Melina vs Ashley & Maria in the Playbody Bunny Mania match - This was just a time filler to let people calm down after Flair vs Michaels and to lure them into the great main events to follow. Not much fantastic wrestling from these women, but they were hot to look at. Phoenix & Melina are able to get the win. Snoop Dogg in the end nails Santino for getting in his face.Match 7: Randy Orton (c) vs John Cena vs Triple H in a Triple Threat match for the WWE Championship - Not as great as it could have been. This was the flagship show's match for the flagship title. Orton really shined in this one, hitting double manuevers on Cena and Triple H. We all really think Triple H is destined to regain the title, but he ends up getting robbed when Orton punts him in the head and covers the prone Cena to retain his title. Shocker of the night.Match 8: Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Big Show - This match had the most publicity behind it for this particular Wrestlemania. We see Mayweather tote around as some huge deal, but Big Show really manhandles him throughout this whole match. Mayweather needs every single one of his handlers and his manager to help him in this one. It really made him look weak. In the end he takes out some brass knuckles and knocks Big Show out for the win. The crowd really wanted Big Show to win and I really did as well.Match 9: Edge (c) vs Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Championship - Nobody saw this coming as the main event, because Undertaker didn't win the 2008 Royal Rumble. This was a great main event that truly culminated the whole night just into one match. Edge trys to have everyone help him keep his title, but Undertaker in an unreal state takes them all on. Edge looks like he is about to end the streak on several occasions, but we all know that Undertaker's streak will never die. In the end Undertaker snatches on his Gogoplata submission to make the Rated R Superstar submit. Undertaker is World Heavyweight Champion again.
Greg-Scott Overall, this is a pretty standard and quite respectable Wrestlemania DVD package. However, I have a warning to any WWE fans who are contemplating springing for the rather expensive deluxe 3-disc collector's edition of Wrestlemania 24. One of the reasons I purchased the 3-disc edition was to own the unforgettable 2008 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony. Be forewarned though that the ceremony is truncated. In the original broadcast of the Hall of Fame Ceremony, before presenting any awards, the Rock made all kinds of clever and light-hearted comments. These included self-deprecating remarks about his own involvement in the "Doom" box office debacle, sarcastic words about Santino Marella and a jab at John Cena and his work in the WWE film "The Marine". Sadly, this lively and entertaining banter has all been removed from the DVD version of the Hall of Fame ceremony. The most disturbing part is that this was obviously a conscious decision by the WWE to save money. I felt robbed, since it was one of the main reasons I bought the collection. I am sure that other WWE fans will clearly feel the same. If they don't, they should. This is unfortunately, a reminder of all that is wrong about the WWE today.
stevenandrewpauzner "Worst Result: Mayweather winning.(Predictable)" That's what you wrote. Here's what I write... Fuc you. Predictable? Why? Because he entered a world which is fake, and you are able to automatically assume that you know what is going to happen? Maybe that little word, "predictable" is what the business is all about.Trying to please you fans, while not dying, and having the ability to move from one city to another, or just simply cross the street, without being taken advantage of in a negative way, and be able to see the people who actually give a damn about them...This is a full time JOB!Then again, if Mayweather and Big Show did a better job, I guess you wouldn't use the word "predictable"... you certainly didn't for the Undertaker...well, actually, I did see that you did.
