Diagonaldi
Very well executed

It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.
Humaira Grant
It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.

This is "Krylya, nogi i khvosty" or "Wings, legs and tails" by Kovalyov, Tatarskiy and Ivanov and from the names you already hear that this is a Russian (or I should say Soviet) movie. It is from 1988, so almost 30 years old, animated and at 4 minutes extremely short. The story is about an ostrich who wants to fly and another bird who tries to help him in achieving that goal. That's the very basic plot and honestly, there is not a whole lot to this film beyond that. Of course, Soviet animation is known for a decent message and you can also find it in here somehow. But it's still fairly insignificant compared to other films from that country and that time. Like so many other of these animated films, we have animals in here too, but I must say the way these were animated and also the general animation in here is really weak for the late 1980s. This looks like 1960s or even older. That's why overall I am baffled by the rating as I see very little appeal in here. Consequently, I don't recommend the watch. Thumbs down.
