Werewolf Audience Reviews

Alicia I love this movie so much
Manthast Absolutely amazing
Chirphymium It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional
Anoushka Slater While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.
Nenad Jones Oh man, where to begin - I remember watching this as a kid and I was really scared, and when I found a copy of the movie made by MST3k I re-watched it and laughed literally to tears. Not sure where to begin with this one, either with Sam the guard that guards the house or Yuri with that hair of his - everything is just awful! The actors have so many different accents among them literally anyone can watch this movie and understand some part of it, and yet you need subtitles to understand it all in common EnglishThe actors have no mind whatsoever, doing things like jumping out of the car when they see the werewolf outside crawling ( why not just run it over?) and then get stuck in a 1 inch puddle for 3 minutesYuri. His wicked hairstyle changes every other scene, from color to shape it goes from black and brown to gray, yellow and white and up, down, short, long or to the sides - sometimes in the middle of the actual scene. He also goes around and turns people into werewolves with his trusty syringe for no apparent reason what so ever. The ''werewolf'' and I use that term loosely - It is worse then Yuri's hair, sometimes it looks like a bat, sometimes a monkey, other times either a cat/dog/bear/bug/chewbacca but never the animal it should be - a wolf. Again it has the ability to drive cars and kill people over long distances using it's breath, and can turn people into werewolves without even touching them? RubbishSense. This movie has none at all, no story, no nothing, from the start to finish nothing the characters do makes any sense - a werewolf comes into your house ( using the front door mind you) and what do you do? Well you walk towards it yelling thing like oh god help me please! A werewolf is in the attic and you go up to talk with it while your ''guard'' is praying for the police?I never watched a movie that was such a mess, to make such a movie is just insulting - I think every would-be-director out there should watch this steaming pile of **** so he/she can see how to NOT make a movie.
tomquick I'll go out on a limb and give this one a 4. The MST3000 version raises the average. I had trouble following the wisecracks, and got more laughs reading the transcriptions on the message board afterwards. But I'll pitch the merits of the film itself. This is more deserving of a cinematography Oscar than some verite loop like Le Mepris. It's not as pretentious in portraying sounds and sights. Desert looks like desert, complete with the near-distant haze and stark whiteness. A party is like a party with unintelligible conversations. A bar-room is a bar-room, with authentic bad murals, noise and pool ball racking. No sentiment, no emotion. Just stuff, filmed flat as can be without filters, enhanced sound or expensive music. I like this effect in Ghost World and Stranger Than Paradise, and Arizona Werewolf has the same quality.Looping past the same gas station over and over. I like that. An open disclosure of the film's budget.I liked the werewolves, too. Everyone knows they're not real. This film gives you the unvarnished truth about werewolves. They're fake. Why hide the fact?
garyb04 This is one messed up movie and I have a few questions:1)How come Paul doesn't say what he's writing about when asked twice?? 2)How come Natalie and Yuri don't notice Paul turning into a werewolf while playing pool?? 3)How come Sam the Keeper doesn't CALL the police instead of praying for them? 4)How come no one doesn't notice or say anything about Yuri's hair changing each time?? 5)Why does the girl leave the jeep when she sees Paul coming towards her?? 6) Why does Paul crawl on the ground as he's going after the girl in the jeep instead of running??? 7)Why are those cars behind Paul as he's going after the girl in the jeep? What are they doing there?? 8)Why is the security guard still driving while he's a werewolf? Do werewolves suddenly know how to drive while they're transforming??? Where did the barrels come from that he crashed into?? And,why did he keep going passed the same gas station over and over??? I know it's just a movie, but they weren't making a comedy, were they? Judging from the writing, the directing, the acting;etc, you would think that's what they were going for, but,I don't think so..Lack of money? Perhaps.Lack of talent?? Could be..The Mystery Science Theater 3000 version I'm giving a 10,but the movie by itself,I'm giving a 2 and that's being generous...
pete_bosworth MST3K version. This film is a perfect example to show that; Long periods where nothing happens are not necessarily dramatic of suspenseful. The pace of the film is established by Tom Servo during the establishment shot of the hospital. (not exact but the gist)"Okay they've established the hospital,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,they've established the hell out of the hospital."You bought 25 seconds of stock footage, so your going to use 25 seconds of stock footage.
