WCW Halloween Havoc '92 took place on October 25, 1992 from the Philadelphia Civic Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The main event was Jake Roberts versus Sting in a Spin The Wheel...Make The Deal Match. A second main event was a title defense of the WCW World Heavyweight Championship by Ron Simmons against The Barbarian. Steve Williams and Terry Gordy were to challenge the NWA & WCW Wold Tag Team Champions, Barry Windham and Dustin Rhodes, however Gordy no-showed the event which led to Steve Austin subbing for him. Another substitution occured when Rick Rude chose not to wrestle twice and defend his WCW US Heavyweight Championship. This led to Big Van Vader defending Rude's title against Nikita Koloff.

WCW Halloween Havoc Audience Reviews

Beystiman It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.
Aedonerre I gave this film a 9 out of 10, because it was exactly what I expected it to be.
Senteur As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.
AshUnow This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
callanvass Live from Philadelphia, PAAttendance: 7,000Your commentators are Jim Ross & Jessie VenturaMichael Hayes, Bobby Eaton & Arn Anderson Vs The Z-Man, Johnny Gunn & Shane DouglasJohnny Gunn pins Michael Hayes with a Lou Thez Press to win. Well, this was an above average opener. The crowd was the most fun thing about it. They LOATHED the faces and loved the heels. I can't say I blame them.**1/4Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat Vs 'Flyin' Brian PillmanSteamboat wins. I was very excited about this one. This was a solid match between these two, as to be expected. They just went out and there and wrestled with no BS. ***1/4United States ChampionshipBig Van Vader Vs Nikita KoloffRick Rude is the US champion. Vader is wrestling in his place. Vader wins with a powerbomb. This match was overlong and a bit sloppy as well. Other than that, I suppose it was OK.*3/4Tag Team ChampionshipDustin Rhodes & Barry Windham (C) Vs 'Dr. Death" Steve Williams & 'Stunning' Steve AustinThe match ends in a 30 MINUTE time-limit draw. This match went 30 minutes! 30 freakin' minutes! I could barely stand it. This match was a mess and very boring to sit through, especially after 30 minutes. If you manage to endure this without pausing or stop watching altogether, I salute you.*1/2Paul E. Dangerously fires and humiliates Madusa. Madusa kicks the crap out of Paul E. until officials separate them. This would turn Madusa face. Paul E. was brilliant with his heel work here. It's time for "Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal" Sting will face Jake 'The Snake' Roberts in a Coal Miner's Glove Match. You could hear a pin drop in the crowd. NWA Heavyweight ChampionshipMasahiro Chono (C) (W/Hiro Matsuda) Vs 'Ravishing' Rick Rude (W/Madusa)Harley Race is the special referee. In a very overbooked finish, Rick Rude wins by DQ. This match was garbage! It was one rest hold after another for almost the entire match. Very seldom did you see anything else. After all that boredom, we get that crappy finish? Whatever.*World Heavyweight ChampionshipRon Simmons (C) Vs The Barbarian (W/Cactus Jack)Yes, The Barbarian is main eventing in 92... Simmons wins with a powerslam. This was a pretty poor title match. If you expected anything less with The Barbarian, you're goofy.*1/2Coal Miner's Glove MatchSting Vs Jake 'The Snake' RobertsSting pins Jake after Jake's cobra bites him in the face. This was a lousy main event. The stipulation did them no favors what so ever, but the match itself stunk. To make matters worse, the finish was really stupid. *This is one of the worst WCW PPV's ever. It actually started off OK, but quickly went downhill. Spare yourself the agony and just avoid it.2.5/10
amanwhorocks OMG, what a stupid rule, to ban every move from top-rope, saw Steamboat jump from second rope is definitely sad. Thank you Bill Watts! 1. Flyin' Brian Vs. Ricky Steamboat 6/10 2. Nikita Koloff Vs. Big Van Vader - Vader defending the US belt for Rick Rude, in normal match. 6/10 3. Tag Team Championship: Stunning Steve Austin/Steve Williams Vs. Champs-Dustin Rhodes/Barry Windham - Quite boring match with some mistakes. 5.5/10 4. NWA Heavyweight Championship: Ravishing Rick Rude Vs. Champ-Masahiro Chono - That was boring as hell, choking, choking, choking. Idiotic ending 4.5/10 5. WCW Heavyweight Championship: Champ-Ron Simmons Vs. Barbarian - Barbarian was mid-carder and people knew that, sadly Ron Simmons wasn't so popular as champ, look, that match wasn't main event, but was average and people get bored- though not that much like in previous case. 5/10 6. Glove Match: Sting Vs. Jake Roberts - Hmm stupid ending and match could be better, Jake is great! 6.5.10
