Making a family isn't always straightforward. OUT OF FOCUS fuses home movies, historic footage, and experimental techniques to tell the stories of queer families who despite enduring hardships unique to the queer community, also lead full lives, shaped by tenderness, connectivity, and love. Queer people have redefined and enhanced traditional notions of family and home.
