Veer Audience Reviews

PlatinumRead Just so...so bad
GarnettTeenage The film was still a fun one that will make you laugh and have you leaving the theater feeling like you just stole something valuable and got away with it.
CrawlerChunky In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
ThedevilChoose When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
rohit102 Salman Khan takes every opportunity he can, in his movies to ridicule Indian traditions and to make these half breeds of invaders look better. He does it in a non-conspicuous way so that average people do not see it but are brainwashed with this anti-native cinema jihad nonetheless. Film administration should be more vigilant and ban any of this anti-native (against the real religion of Indian people) stuff. We have let these, half breeds of invaders, stay in our country even after they invaded and ruined our country before British came, and after we gave them OUR land as Pakistan, we still let some of them stay here, they have no right to do this Muslim cinema jihad propaganda against the natives of India.
superindrajit Salman Khan's lean phase was during this time of his career, despite ending his flop streak with Wanted in 2009. He continued to give flops and a disaster until Dabangg which was the start of his blockbuster period. Salman Khan is one of the finest actors in Bollywood but this film was not the right kind of film for him. He does much better in Masala action films like Wanted and comedies like Partner. He even did much better films in the 90s but films like Veer brought his career down.Veer was an extremely hyped up movie, people were excited because it was supposed to be the next Gadar(2001). Sadly, all that hype was for nothing and yes, many people got disappointed. The film did average in single screens but it failed to show any growth at the multiplexes. Even at single screens, the collections dropped and the film became a disaster. The story of the film is actually not a bad effort, but the handling and the flow of the story is not up to mark. The start was good and Salman's entry was superb. However, the forced comedy and the romance doesn't fit well with the story. The second half goes downhill, its like they had an average first half and a horrible second half. The second half of the film focuses on revenge and how it is executed in a poor way. The ending is hilariously bad, Salman Khan gets shot but dies after a long battle. It is so messed up and it doesn't make sense how Khan doesn't die. Plus, the typical Father Vs Son nearing the ending where Mithun and Salman are forced to fight is straight out of 90s movies.Direction by Anil Sharma is poor, he seems to be stuck in his Hukumat days. These kind of films would have worked if they released earlier but, the film had to release now.Salman Khan is not at his best here, he overacts badly in some scenes but acts well in the action scenes. Sohail Khan is horrible in this film, he overacts in everything from comedy to sorrow. Zarine Khan is good looking but her acting is poor, her expressions are not well timed. Mithun Chakraborty does a fantastic job, he is the life of the film. Jackie Shroff is average, he is the villain. The rest provide average support. On the whole, Veer is an average film at its best. It wasn't an awful film but it wasn't anything great either.
Ganesh Salian (salianmoviereview) Veer directed by Anil Sharma is painful watch.High Budget, lavish production values and great stars do not make an movie super-hit,but it is the story which unfortunately Veer does not have. The story written by Salman Khan is childish. The screenplay is bad.Performances-Salman Khan and Mithun Chakraborty save the movie from going downhill.Salman Khan as always is excellent.Mithun Chakraborty is superb.Sohail Khan irritates.Zarine Khan is no Katrina Kaif. Her acting is bad.Jackie Shroff hams.On the whole,Veer is sheer disappointment.
barnavo I have just finished watching the movie and was truly entertaining. Salman khan dialogs ,emotions and fighting scenes were truly worth watching. The movie has a terrific romantic story. Mithun Chakraborty is good as always. It is Salman best work and shows that he can produce movies that r marvelous. I have not seen any fantastic fight and bravery that was shown in the movie. From the first scene to the last scene , the movie kept me as a glue to my seat. It's a mixture of love ,hate, anger and pride. Nothing stopped me from watching this film. Really, I enjoyed this movie.
