In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.

I saw this movie before reading any reviews, and I thought it was very funny. I was very surprised to see the overwhelmingly negative reviews this film received from critics.

There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.

When i began to watch i had high hopes. They were quickly changed. My first and main problem with this film is that it's just stupid. The characters actions are completely illogical the majority of the time. First of all the gang of criminals decide to force the car off the road in broad daylight instead waiting to take it from the family without them knowing. They could have even stopped them and taken the money in a very indiscreet way which still had a happy ending for everyone by just taking the money from the family. I'm sure they would have handed it over very easily!Second point, the teenage boy blames his dad for everything when in actual fact i would blame the mother. She kicked Jim's character out of the car without letting him defend himself to prove him being innocent. This leads to him having a few fingers cut off, the family being held hostage and a few bloody noses.I could go on and on but i'm going to skip to the end of the movie. A guy gets shot with an AK47 at close range and still manages to survive. Then the ONE clip of AK47 rounds is unleashed at 2 members of the gang for what seemed like a very long time. Surely she would have run out of ammo sooner. This is my first review so i'm sorry if its rubbish. But hey, i don't really give a toss.

Good premise, decent acting. Maybe if you're smoking dope (a lot of dope) this movie would make some sense. At least the film was consistent - every one of the characters' choices made no sense whatever. It's like one of those horror films where all the victims set themselves up to be murdered. I wouldn't recommend this film to a dog. My dog watched for 15 minutes and fell asleep. From the attempt to run the family off the road, to the husband taking off into the swamp for NO apparent reason. Lots of nonsensical automatic weapons. The plant of an idea with the wedding band, gave me a slight hope of foreshadowing but alas, the husband acted more like it was a paper cut. I don't blame the actors, but the direction and the writing. Somebody should have been looking over their shoulders saying "no, no that does not make sense". Oh yes, was the van overheating or not?

Transit is an action, driving movie where weak scripts and acting are useless and the only thing good is the location.A family is in ruins after the father has been in jail due to fraud. In their travels a group of dumb ineffective criminals decide to hide their money with their camping gear. After this the movie tries to go Transporter on our minds. High octane car chases ensue and of course the movie tries to do it's thing or lack there of. In a way if it any different this movie would've made a decent start a strong ending but unfortunately it takes a massive acting and script plunge. What's wrong with the acting and scripting? How about a sadistic car driver turned worried Samaritan. A villain who stays in "I'm a villain" mode throughout but somehow pulls this off like lead being a taco. Then a spat between the wife and husband is a whisper fight. Emoting is also nonexistent throughout since the villains also whisper aside from the busty female villain who is actually the only decent actor. Finally we come to the biggest flaw the action scenes. Wanna here the same chords played during an action scene neither do I but apparently the editor does. How about an "extreme" U-turn that has NOTHING of noteworthy value. My favorite however is the lack of an alligator eating anyone. A gun fight which somehow a mom turns into a sharpshooter. Again this movie kills everything it tries to do and then some.Transit is the worst action movie in while no doubt there.

I'm a film maker myself, I wanted to support this thing, but its just not good enough, and with so much going for it too. You'd think with Jim in there and a hefty action squad supporting the movie that it'd be engaging at least on an entertainment level, but its really not. It's undershot, unpleasant to look at with a weirdly heavy grade, its dialogue heavy and with far too many of the worst interior car scenes I think I've ever seen. I mean Hill Street Blues did car scenes 30 years ago better than these. The Hitcher did it very well. In fact now that I think on it, everyone has shot better interior car scenes than in this film - and its set inside cars!To be fair I abandoned the viewing some 9 out of 12 parts in, and it has a lot of cool car stuff in there, but its ham fisted in its delivery. The editing is just weird, probably from undershooting and some of the small story points they try to make get lost in the edit. Honestly - take my word for it. It's rubbish. It's a waste of money. Stay away.
