Tracking Down Maggie is a 1994 documentary film by Nick Broomfield about former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. What begins as a genuine attempt to get an interview with the so-called 'Iron Lady' quickly turns into a game of cat-and-mouse in the United States, the filmmaker snubbed at every turn. Aside from the comedy of Broomfield's repeatedly failing attempts to gain access, the film discusses the accusations that Thatcher's son, Mark, used his mother's connections to effect arms deals in Saudi Arabia.

Patience Watson One of those movie experiences that is so good it makes you realize you've been grading everything else on a curve.
toxiemite Forget movies like The French Connection, Italian Job and Ronin..... "Tracking Down Maggie" is the greatest movie 'chase' of them all!!!This film can be found in the second volume of "The Nick Broomfield Collection" box sets, along with two other films 'Soldier Girls' and 'The Leader, the driver and the driver's wife'. Tracking Down Maggie is the lighter film of the three, however it is riveting stuff!Broomfield has an obviously resentment towards Mrs Thatcher and this makes for a really funny film. All the while trying to land and interview with the former PM, he is shunned, snobbed and intimidated by not only the old bag Maggie but also her secret service people. I wonder if they have since viewed this film and realized by avoiding Broomfield's camera they have only incriminated themselves more!Anyway, I am not sure if you can get this film outside of the box sets, but I highly recommend watching it. I strongly recommend buying both volumes of the boxes and having them in your own library. Fantastic stuff! I only hope they release a 3rd 4th and 5th volume!I give this one 9 out of 10.
