Toro Audience Reviews

SpuffyWeb Sadly Over-hyped
SunnyHello Nice effects though.
Ploydsge just watch it!
Ketrivie It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.
Stacey S To start off this review, I want to say that this kind of movie is definitely not for everyone. It takes quite a concentration to understand well. What had the biggest influence on me is the dramatic twist in the end, when I actually realized that all that happened to Toro was a big misunderstanding. If Romano knew it wasn't Toro who would kill him but Gines, none of this would've happened - Romano wouldn't have tried to kill Toro but instead had killed Antonio and Toro wouldn't have been arrested. The movie itself consists of some bizarre moments which were more than interesting to me, for example we heard Toro said how Estrella had beautiful eyes, and then Romano dug her eyes out and put them in his statue. No one can possibly say the movie is stupid. In fact, I admire the director's mind and the vision he had. If you want to watch a movie where the actors did a great job, a movie full of drama and very very interesting, THIS ONE IS THE RIGHT ONE FOR YOU :)
kosmasp Crime thrillers are either your thing or not so much. This starts off pretty good and continues on a good track. It may be predictable but that still doesn't take too much away from the suspension. Of course the viewer can identify with the main character, even though his relationship with his brother is not the best anyone can have.We get to see a thriller on the road, that has all the right ingredients. It may not fully get all of the action you could expect from it though, because it does feel like you've seen certain things before. But that's always a problem with a very strong start, even when a movie sort of keeps a certain pace like this one. It's entertaining enough and there are enough things to love about it - if you like the genre that is
salgui I really don't get it, it's just a stupid action film without a good argument about ultra gangsters in Spain. Mario Casas, the actor for Toro, mother of god, I was just hoping for him to die during the film to have Luis Tosar as the main character, because he is a really good actor as he proved in El Desconocido and that makes me wonder why did he sign up for this bad production. The argument is not good at all, and the script is horrible, where is the police? why the bad guys wait to attack one by one as if it was Assassins Creed? why did they make this film? And many more questions which will never be answered. I hope next film Luis Tosar made, 100 Años De Perdón is not so bad, because if not i'm going to start to see him as a horrible actor like Mario Casas
wlee08 The movie centers around a young enforcer, Toro, and his brothers, working for a big- time kingpin. He wants to get out, and go straight, but things won't be so easy. Adding an element of what feels like Shakespeare to the storyline, it turns out the kingpin has an interest in prophecy, and gets his Tarot cards read in the opening scene. What the cards tell him makes him nervous. The young enforcer agrees to one final job - more of a little vandalism operation against a restaurateur who is not using the kingpin's shrimps (No spoilers here, this all happens before the opening credits) Things get a little crazy and lot more violent as the movie progresses. Toro begins to reveal his Jason Bourne fighting skills in moments where it is best to suspend any disbelief, both at his abilities and his choices. Some nice cinematography and action sequences throughout. Things get a little more bizarre than the usual Mafia flick, as the kingpin is into both prophecy and Christian occultism, leading to stuff you want to keep your children far away from.
