Tomorrow, When the War Began Audience Reviews

ScoobyMint Disappointment for a huge fan!
Odelecol Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.
WillSushyMedia This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.
KnotStronger This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.
tomkennedy1957-143-645218 This is one of the most offensive movies ever made. The thrust of the film is that Australians really have an enemy in 21st century South-east Asia. Are the makers of this shlok feast stuck in the 40's?! Hopefully this film marks the grave of the careers of all who made it.
lichkingwarrior the movie is basically an Australian rip off of the 1984 Patrick Swayze movie Red Dawn and the Chris Hemsworth 2012 remake.story lines are basically the same grp of kids go camping come home top their home has been invaded by a foreign country. so they use guerrilla tactics to start fighting back.
Takeshi-K If you've seen Red Dawn (either the original or the recent version) then you've already seen this movie. A bunch of scared high school children band together to fight against a foreign aggressor after their small town and presumably the rest of the country gets invaded. The identity of the invading nation is not mentioned, but we are meant to presume they are either a Chinese or North Korean army invading Australia. The characters are really one dimensional. Think soap actor style acting in a theater of war and you will get an idea of how the awfulness permeates this film. The action sequences are well directed and the special fx look pretty decent, a fact that saves this ordinary movie from getting a less than five out of ten star rating from me.
jimanuel12 i am just amazed that most of the reviews here for any movie - are always worse than anyone can believe. most of the trolls on here don't know a good movie when they see one. this is a very good movie - the acting is very good - the special effects will blow you away. it is really like an Australian version of "Red Dawn" - it is kind of silly that a group of teenagers would go to war and hold off an experienced army that has invaded their country but at the the same time you have to remember that was the setting in Red Dawn also. i had never heard of the movie until a saw a trailer on another DVD - so i had to buy it and was not at all disappointed. if you liked Red Dawn - then you will like this one also. If you hated Red Dawn - then you will hate this one as well. But - give it a chance and judge for yourself - don't let the trolls here make the decision for you. i for one - i liked it very much and plan to watch it again very soon.
