One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.

The movie really just wants to entertain people.

This movie takes you back to the ice age years before human civilizations were established. The setting is North America, Europe and Asia, this shows the brutal world of the animal kingdom in the ice age. This takes you through the survival method. The movie talks about other animals such as saber tooth tigers, dire wolves and sloths but especially the of the famous woolly mammoths. What was interesting about the mammoths were that they found a intact frozen baby mammoth they named Lyuba, also the correlation between skulls of woolly mammoths and cyclops. The movies said that the skull of these massive animals could have been behind the notion that these giant humans with one eye were thought to have been or at the time walking the earth. The movie also goes into how you had predators like the dire wolf and the saber tooth tiger in that constant battle over food. I think middle school boys would enjoy this.

An amazing film that is awesome to watch front row, where the Mammoth is in your face, as are the Sabre Toothed Cats and Dire Wolves. A highly entertaining documentary film depicting North America just before 12,000 years ago (or 10,000 BC). The fight and hunting sequences were amazing. A short and magnificently animated battle between 2 bull mammoths was well-done. When the Sabre Tooth invades a Wolf pack's meal and kills one of them, my heart raced with the roar and yelp. And of course, no prehistoric film of any kind is allowed to neglect the presence of a tar pit. This is a good film to take your kids to if they loved the 2002 classic "Ice Age". Come see it in your local IMAX theater while it's still hot. Excuse me, cold.
