Good start, but then it gets ruined

I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

"Tick Tock Tale" is a charming little CGI short from Disney. While its story is very slight and simple, it's handled in a beautiful fashion. It begins in a clock shop in London. As soon as the owner goes home, the clocks all become anamorphic and one of them, a silly little clock that always runs a bit slow, is made fun of by the other clocks. But, when a wicked burglar arrives and begins stealing clocks, the little insignificant clock does all he can to save the day. As I said, it's slight--mostly because the plot is so simple. I think you could write the script in a paragraph or so...it's that simple. But it's deftly made and charming and well worth seeing.

"Tick Tock Tale" is a Disney 6-minute short film from 5 years ago. Dean Wellins wrote and directed this one and also did the voice acting, even if it was basically only one sentence. This one takes place at a clock store and, just like toys, it seems they also live and interact when nobody is watching. The first half of the film was basically the introduction to all the clocks and it was not that great to watch in terms of the action I must say. But things get more interesting quickly with a robber being about to enter the store. And finally, with the last scene, there is also some nice heart in this little movie as well. And as always with Disney, the animation is top-notch. I recommend this short film. It may have been even better with a more convincing first 2.5 minutes, but even like this, it's a pretty solid watch. Thumbs up.
