The Wishing Forest Audience Reviews

Fluentiama Perfect cast and a good story
Tetrady not as good as all the hype
Comwayon A Disappointing Continuation
FirstWitch A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
fandomfatale There were some good ideas here and some very pretty visuals. The acting is the main area that was lacking. I do appreciate the effort to not be anachronistic with the dialogue and think that was the right choice but most of it was not delivered well. This is not a children's movie. There was a topless woman, a mention of rape, and lots of violence and mentions of cannibalism. If you're looking for romance, this is not the movie for you. The widow/main character has two interesting relationships with men she rescues in the forest but they both die before things get interesting. The movie also seems to go down in almost real time, so not very much time goes by. She mentions a necromancer early on so it's not surprising that her wish/goal in the narrative is that the unicorn will restore her dead husband and child to her. I really liked the thief/tracker character. I actually laughed out loud when he said they couldn't both yawn as a pretense to be able to look back at the man who was following them.
o_this These days I find it hard to understand why the basic cutting, lighting, colors and audio are still a huge problem, when you can do post prosessing literally on your home PC. The needed equiment is not expensive anymore. I'm not talking about fancy cgi, just the core basics for making a decent looking modern film instead of a this home video. A random person who just understands how to use a browser could find & learn the needed software and make this look better, within the same day, while still learning how to even do it.I can't recommend this, it's a home video for the people who made it.
