The Volunteer Worker Audience Reviews

Lollivan It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Nayan Gough A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
Kaydan Christian A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
Kinley This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
OllieSuave-007 This is a very short cartoon short from Disney, clocking in at just under three minutes. It features Donald Duck going door to door attempting to collect donations for charity. However, he has been rebuffed from just about everybody. However, he finally got a donation from a city worker, who said he was once helped through donations from generous people like Donald as well. It's a feel-good cartoon with some funny Donald moments, especially when he gets the doors slammed in his face, and some charitable scenes, when Donald finally receives a donation from the city worker.Grade A
TheLittleSongbird And I don't mean this at all in a bad way. Perhaps it is a little too short, even by short standards, but I still found it a very nice short indeed. The animation is really beautifully drawn and coloured, and the music adds to any humour or emotional moments without feeling out of place or feeling false. The gags are not plentiful or groundbreaking, but they are fun, which in regard to gags is more important to me, while the story moves briskly and has heart and charm, though you are left wishing for more at the end. The Volunteer Worker has a very meaningful message that anybody can relate to, and it manages to do in a way that doesn't come across as heavy-handed. Donald is a very pleasant surprise. He is playing against his usual characteristics here, playing kind and gentle instead of getting easily frustrated and temperamental in situations(Mickey is more the sort of character that I'd associate the former with). But that said, Donald does do it very well, and it was nice to see a different side to him. In conclusion, a very short Disney short but a more than worthwhile one. 9/10 Bethany Cox
