BelSports This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
tammygerome John Carpenter's The Thing is such an atmospheric film that even now three decades on it feels as though it was shot last night. It's a remake of a 1950s film and one of the few examples of the remake being better than the original. The plot concerns an American team stationed in Antarctica that suddenly find an alien creature that imitates other life among their midst. One by one this alien entity starts devouring the team. Kurt Russell is in sublime form as Macready the station helicopter pilot and the only one with balls and a rational outlook. This is not just a science fiction film but a character study of humans, done so very subtly. Carpenter is a filmmaker magician and The Thing is one of bis finest tricks.
musician-77574 This movie is a classic and will always have a spot in my top 20 Sci-fi/ Horror films. Awesome acting, dialogue and set design. This movie does not disappoint.
adonis98-743-186503 A crew in Antarctica finds a neighboring camp destroyed and its crew dead. Whatever killed them is nowhere to be found, unless it's hidden in plain sight. John Carpenter's The Thing benefits from a very strong perfomance from Kurt Russell but also terrific special effects that take the horror to a whole new level plus the movie is very stylish and builts terror slowly and then quickly when it wants to and since it's a Carpenter movie it makes total sense of being that damn good, definitely check it out it's really damn good although not flawless. (9/10)
lordi-75441 The best movie of a century, my favorite movie ever.
