Info

More people are imprisoned in the United States at this moment than in any other time or place in history, yet the prison itself has never felt further away or more out of sight. This is a film about the prison in which we never see an actual penitentiary. The film unfolds a cinematic journey through a series of landscapes across the USA where prisons do work and affect lives, from an anti-sex-offender pocket park in Los Angeles, to a congregation of ex-incarcerated chess players shut out of the formal labor market, to an Appalachian coal town betting its future on the promise of prison jobs.

The Prison in Twelve Landscapes Audience Reviews

Redwarmin This movie is the proof that the world is becoming a sick and dumb place
WasAnnon Slow pace in the most part of the movie.
Brendon Jones It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
Sameer Callahan It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
five-36385 Incarcerated Nation Corp. is a collective of previously incarcerated professionals who all operate and run projects that provide service to those incarcerated , previously incarcerated & their families.our national council-members contribute to project using direct experience from inside and out. this film highlights one of our national council- members and bus programs that connect families to their loved one inside. this film will make change in the way prisons is thought to be something private and not connected to the world, when in actuality the are the source of some counties only income. the more we recognize the disenfranchisement of our citizens that prison bring the more we will understand their destructive presence in American society.this film is supported by those directly impacted because it started off with working with those directly impacted and their families to direct the course and direction of who it represents .
