CheerupSilver Very Cool!!!
CommentsXp Best movie ever!
Huievest Instead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.
Grimossfer Clever and entertaining enough to recommend even to members of the 1%
finzi81 I totally agree that the movie is not a comedy and not for children. I can't think of a darker film.I saw this as a child and have vividly horrible memories of the scene where he gets his wig yanked off in the soccer game. All the imagery taps into a child's deepest fears. Even the gooey quality of the peanut butter itself and spreading it all over your head. And the orphanage / sweatshop where they starve the children. I had nightmares of being trapped in there. It's just so wrong. It would probably seem campy to watch now, but the original impact my psyche is irreversible. It's so funny that literally everyone in the forums had the same experience. I've never seen such unanimity in on IMDb.
m_mcdermott I remember LoVinggggggg! This movie as a kid-- and Yick(from degrassi) plays COnrad-- Michael's friend. It was interesting to see it again as an adult and watch it with my son who is now 10( I was 10 when it first came out in 85') I was able to find a copy of it online that you can stream and watch!! http://www.wizmovies.com/ Just look under the selection of titles they have and you will be able to find it there-- I believe it was uploaded off of an old either VHS/Or Beta copy lol as it shows the tape speed a couple times during the movie- Great quality though considering how old it is. Couldn't believe I actually just stumbled across it! Ahh did it bring back some memories! Enjoy !
kungpowted I cannot believe what "5532" had said about this movie, it was the same reaction as mine. When I was little I remembered a movie about the characters spreading peanut butter on their head, but I couldn't remember why, I just remembered that it had stuck with me for about 15 years. I could never remember the title to this movie, but like some movies you get a certain smell or sense when you watch it. I have yet to locate this movie but I am trying. I was so infuriated with myself that I couldn't think of the title to this movie that I went to google and typed in Movie Peanut Butter on Head and it came back with "The Peanut Butter Solution." There is definitely something strange about this movie that has lurked me for over 15 years and I have no clue what it was. I hardly even remember the movie. I recall watching it with my sisters when I was younger but when I went to ask them if they recall it they had no clue what I was talking about. I am just soo pumped I found it. What is more odd was that people have had the same dilemma as mine. Well hope its as good as I remember or at least I might be able to re-visit some past memories.
vanescafe Whenever I reminisce about old 80s movies, this one always comes to mind, yet NO ONE else has ever seen it or remembers it. I LOVED this movie. It was a little creepy, but funny too. My favorite part is when that one kid puts the peanut butter solution on his crotch and the hair grows out his pants. In retrospect I don't know why they would show that to young kids, but that is definitely the funniest part. Anyway, I have been searching for this movie forever and have yet to find it. If you have any ideas, let me know. I've tried www.amazon.com and looked online, but I have had no such luck. I'd really like to see this movie again now that I am older.
