thynguyen-09859 There are a lot of cringe-worthy moments and i'm not a prude at all. The movie makes me uncomfortable at times but I really like that it explores men's body image issue, which is often ignored. Overall, this is a kind of movie that you should watch at least once. I will not rewatch it though.

Saiph90 The positives, it was short, now that could be a pun for the film or his dick. I have read other reviews and to give the posters credit they have taken a lot more from the film than I could, drama, darkness and a exploration of marriage in modern society. Unfortunately I simply did not get it, here was a film about a couple new to an area (California) and meeting a couple and going over for a meal which than drags on to what seems an never ending night. The acting is the sort of comedy acting unfortunately there is just no humour but some frontal nudity and some mild sexual scenes. The film could have gone several routes horror, serious but wanted to be a comedy but someone forgot to tell the script writer.

witster18 This is a really good movie brought down quite a bit by the finish. The entire film(WELL, NEARLY) seems plausible, interesting, sharp/clever, poignant, and then in a flash of an instant it's kinda ruined. I mean for me at least. The ending takes all this fantastic momentum and interest and slams it into a wall.Its well-shot, well-acted, and an absolute blast for most of the running time.If the would have ended it after that awkward last kiss, or extended the conversation just a bit further, instead they had to jump into the deep end of the pool for shock value. The whole film save the ending teeters on that crazy but not quite over the edge, but then like i said, it crashes. I was headed towards a 8-9/10 until the last 20minutes too. Shame. Really close to excellence. 64/100. You'll like this if you liked: the D-train(not as good but not terrible), cheap thrills(about even), or this is 40(about even).

doorknob-2 The movie wasn't awful in terms of acting or directing. What I found horrendous was that it is EXACTLY what you expect from the trailer. Exactly. Take the trailer, play it in slow motion for a bit over an hour - there's the movie.It's designed to make you uncomfortable. It does that. Does the trailer look like it has a swinger vibe to it? Well, what could they possibly do to add a "twist" for two (potentially) swinging couples? If you don't see the end coming from a mile away, you're not thinking very hard.What the movie taught me is that these are people I definitely do not want to know. Maybe you do. Whatever.That said, the entire reason I wrote this review is to say, with certainty, that the individuals who wrote the other reviews complaining about the male nudity have NEVER SEEN A NUDE MALE. These were soooo clearly rubber prosthetics that there appearance was probably the only time I laughed in the movie.I love Adam Scott. I think the Duplass brothers have some talent. I don't think this movie is a comedy by any stretch of the imagination. I'll call it an idiotic version of the Ice Storm.
