Allison Davies The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
ApurbaAlamin This is my first review on IMDb. Actually this film is awesome. The story of this film is increatable, fantastic. I was geeting emotional when my eyes on screen. the most interesting , important , and the soul of this movie sentence is the last sentence "I am in love with my wife" that was awesome. tears has come on my eyes when the i have heared..amazing film
shahriarfahim-35132 Not a quote to quote, not any metaphor or joke to crack. But surely this movie is one of the greats. I got so into it that It seemed like time stood still the whole time. Mert Turak you killed it man.
celik-663-685980 "Aziz" Character is very realistic according to me. All the other villagers are so, except the teacher who is from the Western part of Turkey. Use of the camera is excellent with very beautiful scenes of East Anatolia. However the teacher character is a bit forced/synthetic whatever you may call it. For example he speaks with a heavy Western Turkey accent all through the movie but starts to talk with a Zaza dialect of Kurdish during his first days in the school but his Turkish never changes which is a bit odd. Costumes are hundred percent right for the 60's. To sum up I deem it as a good Turkish movie made in recent times.
alidur07 First of all, really good picture with all the nice scenery from the hills of Turkey, but hey, thats not enough to make a movie a good one, one that evolves around a certain story with deep analysis and natural development! The movie tells the story of Aziz, a handicapped man, who is unconditionally loved by the fellow villagers. The audience just couldn't sympathize with the dude! The teacher who is sent to the village by the government is another failure, a man with "all the good intentions in the world". It just felt so fake and unreal. At the end of the movie, it felt like Kirmizigul "again" asked us to cry, but come on now, this just didn't work with me since I was busy praying the pain would end as soon as possible. Oh my God! Such a waste of time!
