Plot so thin, it passes unnoticed.

What begins as a feel-good-human-interest story turns into a mystery, then a tragedy, and ultimately an outrage.

Easily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.

It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.

Samuel L. Jackson and Eugene Levy of all people are paired together,, don't ask me why,, I honestly didn't see much chemistry between the two of them. Samuel can be funny, but he's better at action. A dentist attenting a convention is caught up in the middle of an undercover-cop's investigation in Detroit, well the bad guys mistake our dentist for someone else and leads to nothing but pure mayhem,, the cop has to save his butt on more than one occasion,, but to catch the bad guys the dentist just has to keep assuming the role of the man who the bad guys think he is in order for the policeman to catch the bad guys. there are so good laughs in here, but on the whole, for me the two leads just don't seem to mesh that well.

The Man (2005, Les Mayfield) A federal agent turns up dead and an hardcore undercover agent, known as Derrick Vann heads off to try and recover the stolen arms and find the killers. Andy Fiddler is an ordinary family man and a dentist, and is out heading to a conference, when he gets stuck in the same mess. Criminal Kane believes Fiddler is 'The Man' behind it all and offers him a gun. Vann spots him and drags him across town, with him posing as the actual 'Man'.When you first look at this film, you see an odd pairing. Eugune Levy is often a comedic actor and Samuel L. Jackson is more of a serious, hard-hitting actor. It was a risky move to make. The actors aren't the problem, as they both fit together very well. The problem is the script. It just isn't very funny. The jokes are very few, and rely more on sight gags. The story was OK, just for a comedy film, it was very disappointing. I gave it a 6, only because i enjoyed it, but then you would say that when you a fan of both Jackson and Levy.F***...Crying Out Loud - Andy Fidler (Eugene Levy)

This movie was mildly humorous. Samuel Jackson and Eugene Levy tried, but I think this movie was doomed from the start. Samuel Jackson is not all that funny to begin with. He is at his best and funniest when he is in an action or suspense film and he's providing the comedy relief. To put him in a comedy outright is not his forte. Eugene Levy is a funny person, but his comedy hinges upon him being a supporting actor. I'm not talking about supporting actor as in second lead, but as in 3rd, 4th, or 5th string actor. Eugene Levy is good in small doses.I can see how the producers would think that Jackson and Levy would make a good duet and it was a novel effort. Now, they should just learn from their mistake and move on. Jackson and Levy just never hit it off on screen, and it was a good lesson for everyone that they should stick to the roles they are most familiar with.

I sat down in front of my TV and turned to HBO and "The Man" happened to be starting at that moment. I needed two hours to pass, so I watched it.I was pleasantly surprised. The idea to put Eugene Levy and Sam Jackson in a movie together was a clever one. They bounce off each other perfectly. The jokes in the movie range from farting humor to Eugene Levy explaining that the human bite is very painful (which I found funny). I found the film to be above average funny. The film's humor and suspense are abundant enough to keep you watching the whole 83 minutes. It is definitely a great movie to watch just to burn time.7/10.
