Best movie of this year hands down!

I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
Micah Lloyd
Excellent characters with emotional depth. My wife, daughter and granddaughter all enjoyed it...and me, too! Very good movie! You won't be disappointed.
Neive Bellamy
Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.

There are not a ton of movies that our family enjoys together but this is one. It is interesting and funny enough for adults to enjoy. My son loves just because it's Ninjago and both my daughters liked it as well; one of who isn't a ninja or Lego fan but she enjoyed.

Pretty good lighthearted family friendly animated adventure, not as good as the original "Lego movie" or the "Lego Batman movie" but not bad!

Shunned by everyone for being the son of an evil warlord, a teenager seeks to defeat him with the help of his fellow ninjas. The Lego Ninjago Movie is the 3rd installment of the Lego Saga (or whatever you wanna call it) and it's easily my least favorite of the Franchise but before i go into the problems i want to name the good stuff. For example the characters are likable especially Jackie Chan's Master Wu, Dave Franco's Lloyd and Justin Theroux's Garmadon, the animation and the soundtrack was damn good and the overall structure of the film for the most part was going somewhere also the action set pieces were great. Now as far as the flaws go? unlike the previous 2 installments this film doesn't have alot of character development and as good as those characters are we don't know alot of things about them, some of the jokes were forced and dare i say kinda bland? and at times the film does drag in certain areas mostly in the whole forest plot set piece, the film also at times feels more like Power Rangers instead of Ninjago since not alot of "ninja" things do happen and last it feels more as a straight to dvd lego movie than the other 2 movies that came before. But overall even with lots of flaws that it suffers from The LEGO Ninjago Movie is still a fun and alright film with some good messages about parenting, likable characters and above all great animation. (7/10)

Honestly feels like they were trying too hard with this one, we're given a live action opening which feels like a forced nod to the first film. The constant use of songs throughout the film is distracting and feels out of place. And I like cats, but don't get me started on the cat scene which had terrible animation. The whole theme of Lloyd and his problems being Garmadon's son are over used and rather weak as far as a plot point.Glad I waited to see this on dvd rental.
