The Legend of the Nahuala Audience Reviews

IslandGuru Who payed the critics
Colibel Terrible acting, screenplay and direction.
Infamousta brilliant actors, brilliant editing
Celia A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
jesus-vazquezg I don't want to be called "malinchista", I would really like an animation industry in Mexico, but (with this kind of movies) It seems an impossible dream."The Nahuala's legend" shows several Mexican customs. Unfortunately, It just focus in this aspect. The plot is lame, but in the opinion of several compatriots, It's wonderful just because the character eat "alegrías". That's why the Mexican movies are mediocre. The characters are not funny and their horrible voices are annoying. The animation level IS NOT PROFESSIONAL. Sixty years ago, the Fleischer brothers developed better animation than the one We can see in this movie. If you want to support the Mexican movies, demand for quality in them.
horacioreyes The movie represents a magic world of Puebla, Mexico about 1700. It is full of colors and some of the most important buildings of the city appear. The film is Plenty of Mexican symbols and folklore. It makes the film quite interesting and different. The legend can be little bit scary for small kids because touches some of the black legends of Mexico. However is not so bad.The actors who lend their voices make a very interesting performances, almost all of them are very well recognized.Special mention for the music, which is delicious.I am afraid that not Mexicans won't completely understand it and therefore won't enjoy fully the film, nevertheless, it should be seen, because it will give the opportunity to learn a little bit more about Mexico in a nice way.
Jonathan Plascencia I like the movie a lot. It really outlines some of the traditions in Puebla. It mixes mystical with laugh. Very good for kids, not violent, a little scary. But when you are seeing the movie, is like you are getting transported in time. When it gets translated to English, I recommend to see it. I love the Veracruz character, it makes the movie a little humor spicy. On the other hand, mixes the Spaniard system of beliefs with the native Mexican way of exorcism, and combined they achieve a common objective in the fight against evil. There are some peculiarities in the film which will remote you also to your childhood and your family relations. Enjoy.
I Feito I'm a big fan of several of the big name actors (Mexican) that lent their voices for characters in this movie and went into the theater with high expectations.I couldn't believe how bad this movie was. Voices were OK, but the movie is definitively geared toward kids not a day over 4 years, and then it may prove scary for them. Jokes were dumb and animation seemed cheap to the point of not being funny anymore.People who remember that old TV show "Cantinflas Show" may remember that type of animation as interesting when it was done... 25 years ago, not today.Definitively not funny, not entertaining and not even worth the 30 minutes I spent before leaving the theater.Ignacio
