Each year, drunk people are selected to participate in torturous games the morning after a big night out. There's no sunglasses, no water, and no headache medicine. "The Hungover Games," a film that manages to merge the premises of both "The Hunger Games" and "The Hangover" and throw in references to "Ted," "Django Unchained," "The Lord of the Rings," "Carrie," "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" and whatever else crossed the writers' fevered brains during the probably very drunken "development process."

The Hungover Games Audience Reviews

Hellen I like the storyline of this show,it attract me so much
Protraph Lack of good storyline.
MamaGravity good back-story, and good acting
Gutsycurene Fanciful, disturbing, and wildly original, it announces the arrival of a fresh, bold voice in American cinema.
thespeeddiledilemma A spoof movie doesn't have to do much to get it right so the fact it failed in every way is kind of an accomplishment. Scary Movie 2 and 3 and Epic Movie had me in fits so I don't think you can argue that I just don't like spoof movies but this one... It was lame. A spoof film doesn't have to be tasteful or clever. It doesn't need good acting. It doesn't even have to make sense, it just has to be funny. But this is just boring. It felt like everything that COULD have been funny just ended up being stupid in- your-face nudity. Relying on dildos, curse words, pee, poo and breasts to make a scene funny just seems lazy. A lot of people are going "But dude, it has BOOBS in it!" Guys...if you think boobs make a movie good, you need to find a way around your parents' Safe Search.I'd rather go watch Sex in the City. And I HATE Sex in the City.
shades4321 Had a couple of good initial concepts, and some of the cast and acting was actually OK, however, the plot / writing was just terrible. Seemed to have very low budget / production values. It even had some decent special effects in places, which they should have just saved the money on and spent it on the writing.Nothing could save this film once the writing and plot went downhill. Lots of hard cuts between, or during unfunny scenes. Many, many, many very unfunny jokes and scenes. Even the music is strange. It also failed to do much of a parody number on its namesake. Seems to think it's Family Guy with all the pop-culture references that will date immediately.I tried hard to come up with other nice things to say, but I can't. I could not sit through it.Cannot recommend.
nunchaku_nc In a world where an entire generation of young people are unable to identify a spoof movie that isn't crap. It is 2014 humans lived with Scary Movie 2 being the last time a decent spoof hit the silver screen. Many have tried. More have failed. One production company stood up. One group of weird people said enough. There have been too many hammy, crappy, unfunny spoofs feeding on the scraps of potheads with a Netflix account. It was time change came to That film was "The Hungover Games" and it is a damn good effort to put an end to a decade of utterly unwatchable spoofs. Characters convincingly lifted from other films, to be exaggerated, not imitated. Special effects made by professionals exceeding their limitations, and a teddy bear tea-bagging an escaped slave. This film is non-stop laughter. I was expecting to give up after 5 minutes, but I gave it a chance and regret nothing. This is a brilliant addition to the spoof genre and I hope to see more like it in future.
Troels Larsen The Hungover Games takes the known and loved characters from The Hangover and places them in a world similar to The Hunger Games. In the process, it attempts to criticize Hollywood for a lack of originality. This is perhaps the only funny joke in the movie, seeing as it is itself completely without original thought. It doesn't make fun of the Hungover characters, it just copies them and reenacts their mannerisms in the Hunger Games world. In the process, it also includes various other token characters from pop culture. However, these tertiary characters are fitted with poorly done costumes and for the most part equally poor actors.I must however admit, that many of the actors in the movie are above average for the genre. The story and whole setup is extremely lazy however. I have a hard time imagining anyone being particularly proud of this movie. The movie leaves a lot to be desired, but I suppose it could be watched during a severe case of hangover.
