Great visuals, story delivers no surprises

The movie's only flaw is also a virtue: It's jammed with characters, stories, warmth and laughs.

The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.

Not sure how, but this is easily one of the best movies all summer. Multiple levels of funny, never takes itself seriously, super colorful, and creative.

A scientist's job is to question everything, even himself, so I thought this will be a documentary about how our understanding about Earth's climate may be wrong... you know... about science. What in fact I got was a big propaganda trying to discredit the work of environmentalists blaming that they do what they do for profit. That was pretty funny. Although it may be true but it is negligible to the profit of the oil industry. Let's see some other BSes in the movie:First of all the charts. Many other comments tell you about the charts, I just want to add one more thing: the fact that the CO2 quantity followed the temperature (with a lag) in the past does not say anything about the effects of adding more CO2 artificially into the atmosphere.Another argument is that CO2 comprises only a very minuscule amount of Earth's atmosphere. All right, but this means absolutely nothing. For example I have a medical condition that requires me to take 40mg of omeprasole every day. That is less then 0.00005% of my total body weight and yet it helps me.They claim that environmentalists are anti-technology, anti-development and anti-American. This can't be further away from the truth; just have a look at the Venus project, they claim that the only thing that can save us is technology (and engineers not politicians) - and they are in the US!Killing the African dream of development. Now this is the best part! They suggest that environmentalists don't allow them to use their own oil. This claim is so pathetic that I did not know whether to laugh or cry. Those poor people are really suppressed, but not by environmentalists but the powerful countries who want their oil.

I've always said there is no such thing as global warming! Do you think that after millions of years this planet earth is has never seen hot weather? I remember back in the 1950s the weather was twice as hot as it's been in the 2000s and I mean hot not just 100%, My brother and I used to to peal the skin off our backs it one big sheet, and that was just one day on the beach in the sun. This weather is just a cycle the world goes through the same as the ice age the stone age etc, etc, You don't hear people in Arizona or Las Vegas make comments on global warming, in fact they laugh at the suggestion...So we get summers in the 80% and maybe if we are lucky 100%, Christ almighty they have 130% every day in Las Vegas!! and that is normal for them. What would they say if it was 140%? Global Warming? I think not...Global warming is just an excuse for Goverments and certain people to make money out of stupid people like us... There are scientists who will tell you, the is no such thing as Global warming, It is just a progression that the earth goes through and has gone through for million of years, so write to you goverments and tell them you do not like to be treated like imbeciles before it goes the whole 9 yards and becomes acceptable. Who invented the term Global warming? Not you, not I, and not the scientists who say it's not happening...But your politicians who screw you for everything they can get out of you!! Stand up and be counted show them your not a fool or an idiot...

I really enjoyed watching this movie. It woke me up to the consequences of global warming. Being from Alaska, I have seen first hand the effects of global warming. I have witnessed glaciers calve off in monumental proportions. In fact, I found a similar movie that shows more global warming footage of calving glaciers. Huge chunks of ice breaking off into the ocean! You can find this film called "Alaska, The Tracy Arm Experience" on Film Baby. If you loved this movie, you will sure love Alaska, The Tracy Arm Experience. Watch the glaciers disappear before your eyes and show your friends and family what is really going on in Alaska.

if science was being hijacked by interest groups, i really would want to know. i watched this entire video online, and i saw some very interesting claims made. unfortunately, almost none of them actually seem to be true. i encourage everyone to try to keep an open mind, but with that being said, i believe this documentary should come with materials to explain some of their claims in depth. like, why one of the scientists they feature intensely threatened legal action after he saw how his words were used. if you'd like to know more, please visit this link: http://www.medialens.org/alerts/07/0313pure_propaganda_the.php
