Clarissa Mora The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.

Jemima It's a movie as timely as it is provocative and amazingly, for much of its running time, it is weirdly funny.

Mathias Dubois This is the story of an American girl that gets chased by a Japanese looking Chinese ghost of another girl who is wearing some sort of Venetian mask. There is also a Chinese-American cop who follows her since she had been declared dead but eventually had come back to life the very moment an employee of the morgue tried molesting her. The whole movie is kept in a dusty grayish blue. No matter how dramatic the scenery, the actors exchange phrases in a dull, monotonous voice. The first time I tried to watch the movie, I fell asleep but I gave it another try the next day, hoping something would happen at some point. Nope. I found myself in the situation where the only exciting thing I was still expecting to happen would have been a topless scene but this expectation got shattered when she took a bath and almost every inch of her skin was covered, even when she nearly drowned and got saved by the Chinese-American cop. That's where I gave up. This movie is a waste of everything but talent and I won't ever watch a movie featuring Miss Sowa again unless... well you know unless what.

thenadeaujonathan This is one of the best movies that I saw in my life.Maybe the best. If Hitchcock was alive I would tell him to go see this movie so that he could learn from it. The author of this sublime masterpiece will leave his mark with this piece of art. This is a masterpiece. It is full of innovative ideas and you never know what will happen next. It will keep you on the edge of your seat. Very creepy. I would say two thumbs up but two is not enough. Can I lift my two big toes and say four thumbs up ? I would compare this to "The Sixth Sense" but in "The Fugue" the actors are a little bit more convincing. I predict that this movie will have on the Horror genre the same impact "Alien" or "Blade Runner" has on Sci-fi genre. Go see "The Fugue"(this is so scary, just writing the word "fugue" gives me goosebumps). This movie is so full of chocking images that I don't know if it is safe for everybody to go see it. I remember that people used to faint at the premiere of "The Exorcist" in 1973 (yes I am that old)and I think that this movie could have the same effect on fragile people. I wouldn't be surprised if in two or three years from now there is a cult devoted to this movie. I can easily imagine the same kind of cult surrounding "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" for this movie. Go see it quick !

Rgallick Fast paced film that keeps the audience intensely involved. For those familiar with Washington, DC, the shots provide glimpses of recognizable landmarks as well as the hidden, dark quarters of DC apartment living. The cinematography is magnificent and is interesting visually. Because of the musical background and intriguing camera angles, the suspense can be overwhelming. Actually, the musical selections were great choices that enhance the film's scary momentum. In addition, for those fans of special effects, this movie has several quirky unforgettable moments. You will find yourself on the edge of your seat, peeking out of the corners of your fingers and becoming a cheerleader for the vulnerable characters. Bravo to the director who made terrific cast choices.

Lucy-23 If you like films such as "The Grudge" or "The Ring" (U.S. or foreign versions) then you'll really enjoy this stylish horror film. It's smart and scary. There's a sense of craftsmanship about the choices the director made - he's done his homework in this particular genre. Other Indie / low budget filmmakers can learn from this movie: it's possible to make a very good film if you start with a good story, work with strong actors and know what you're doing in the editing suite. Shot on a modest budget (I was at a screening and the Director told us how much it cost) this movie feels much bigger than the dollars that were spent making it. Apart from production, the film is very well acted and very, very creepy! If you enjoy this genre, you will like this film!
