The short tells the story of a drunkard going through alcohol withdrawal, as personified by the Devil. Director Bob Stenhouse takes what could be a dark subject and makes it a funny madcap romp.

Comwayon A Disappointing Continuation
Doomtomylo a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.
Darin One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.
Robert Reynolds This short was nominated for an Academy Award for Animated Short. There will be spoilers ahead: This short is a quite unusual short. It centers around one drunk whose principal focus is getting his next bottle. He fills his empty bottle from a horse trough and gets a frog into the bargain. He goes into a bar, orders a bottle, puts it in his pouch and, when he then has no money to pay for it, the barkeep demands the bottle back. He switches bottles, giving the bottle with the frog instead. Problems ensue and he beats a hasty retreat to his horse and leaves town. That's where the "fun" begins. This is a spooky horseback ride indeed. The drunk sees a naked woman and then his horse gets spooked and his life gets interesting. The woman turns into a devil, among other things and the drunk and a dog barely escape with their lives.Back at the saloon, the drunk ultimately pays for the same bottle he switched to begin the nightmare. The end is eerie and best watched cold. This short isn't in print, but it can be found online and is well worth watching. Most recommended.
