Cristi_Ciopron An interesting and atmospheric adaptation with an impressive cast (Rebengiuc as 'Busuioc', Pintea as his son, Mrs. Hãrãbor as 'Simina', Vişan, Ionescu), the movie has a strong subject—love during the cholera, and it's carefully made, with some memorable scenes, excellently played characters, good cinematography and an alert pace, at a significant level of competence. The village's life is depicted in short and striking scenes—a priest hunting, a retard killed by a machine, the work in the field, etc..Mrs. Hãrãbor, the buxom blonde, gives here her signature role; she was 19 in this movie.
