The Demented Audience Reviews

Nonureva Really Surprised!
Tyreece Hulme One of the best movies of the year! Incredible from the beginning to the end.
Jakoba True to its essence, the characters remain on the same line and manage to entertain the viewer, each highlighting their own distinctive qualities or touches.
Fleur Actress is magnificent and exudes a hypnotic screen presence in this affecting drama.
tbrunningbare2 First off, they are not zombies, they are infected by what the terrorist used. You have your usual kids just trying to survive the attack, with a bunch of running and screaming and kids being kind of stupid. Overall, it was a good movie, but be prepared to be kind of confused about a few choices the writers, actors, and editors made in this movie.
riquigley There are movies that have in-depth plots. There are movies that have interesting, complex characters. These films often make us contemplate our existence through obtuse themes that require introspection and careful pondering. And there are movies that are none of these things and yet still maintain a level of entertainment - visceral experiences that emote excitement, or fright, or romance, or comedy... perhaps even all four if we're lucky. The Demented has none of these traits. It is devoid of any artistic originality. It is predictable and bland. Watching it makes me contemplate how much I value the hours I have left on this earth, and whether or not I should choose to go do something else right at this moment. But The Demented is a cheap zombie flick, and this fact alone forgives many sins. The ending however, catapults this film past redemption. It makes me angry in ways that other things make me angry, like willful ignorance, 3rd world poverty, and excessive Facebook selfies. In the last few minutes of the film, just before the credits rolled, had there been a baby present, I would have punched he/she in the face. Had there been an invaluable painting handy, I would have smashed it into oblivion and declared art dead forever. This is what you can look forward to if you decide to watch this film. Perhaps that's what you're after: a reason to be depressed and angry at the world. Perhaps you're manic and need a reason to not love yourself anymore. Then this is the film for you.
Steamy McGeany I saw absolutely no effort put into this film what-so-ever other than overused dramatic camera angles. The movie was cliché as heck, it had very cheesy dialogue, it had the most stupidest moments ever, and there was very little suspense. If you wanted the gory bits of a zombie movie, this is NOT the once for you. There's barely any gore. Just a guy getting his knee cut and dried blood on all of the zombies. Did you guys know that when you get bit, your clothes automatically become torn and shredded? I never knew that until this film showed me. Huh...Most of the characters are either unlikable or do absolutely nothing to help push the plot forward. They only two people who were actually busting butt to help the group survive in the majority of the film were the two dudes, and that black dude REALLY kicked butt, even with a cut knee. But boy, when I said stupid moments, I mean REALLY stupid moments. They we're driving in a van and this zombie girl is just standing on the street, but instead of RUNNING the zombie girl over, they slide off the road and total their vehicle and injure one of their guy's legs... to save a FREAKING ZOMBIE! And there's this one scene where three guys are running from zombies, and one of them gets bit and starts to turn. The other two obviously know that he is going to into a zombie, but do they run? NO! They just stare at him for one full minute while the camera zooms in his face to show how freaky it is when he's transforming. When he finally turns into a zombie, THEN they run! I was literally screaming the whole time, "RUN! FREAKING RUN! OR HIT HIM WITH THAT AXE! YOU HAVE AN AXE! FREAKING PUT HIM DOWN BEFORE HE EATS YOU!"But the ending is just the WORST!!! The worst zombie ending ever! They all think they made it to the helicopter, flying away all safe and sound, but NOOOOO! It was just a DREAM! Instead, the helicopter abandons them on the roof and the last two survivors become zombie country buffet. Freaking clichés... It's like they couldn't decide to put a happy ending or a sad ending, so they decided, "Screw it, let's do both, and make the happy ending all just a dream." Wow. What a slap to the face.Sorry to be blunt, but this movie made me so angry, I HAD to make a review of it.
JDtheBigGuy I was not expecting too much from the movie and it proved me right. The acting seemed at least capable and sometimes quite good with Kayla Ewell and Ashlee Brian standing out a little. The story line was the standard, people turn to Zombie like creatures and normal people turn to morons. Surely they could get someone to write in sensible characters. We are told it's important to be quiet but throughout the movie not only do the girls scream like banshees, they also constantly talk at the top of their voices or shout. Why is it that decent believable situations and characters are rarely written in to these movies? It's as though the movie makers just want to annoy the audience. It's a low budget movie so don't expect any great special effects, major celebs or even minor ones. The "28 Days Later" style zombies lack the realism or makeup of said movie. You might be disappointed by the ends of the movie, but if you have little else to do this is not the worse Zombie film I have ever seen and could have been quite good with believable characters even though it brought nothing new to the genre.
