This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

I am always worried about my time when watching a German movie. Because of movies like "Das Gespenst von Canterville".OK, the effects where quite well, the castle looked pretty good (looks like Mecklenburg Vorpommern.. ;)) and I don't blame the actors. It seemed to me, they all needed the money. But the screenplay - boring like hell.SPOILER!! So what is the film about? 1. The parents have problems with their marriage at the beginning, but no problems at the end. I don't know why. Because of the son is missed for a few hours? Hey, that could be the beginning of a new kind of family therapy. ("You child! Go out for some hours and don't tell us where you are. And you parents! Your problems are solved. Makes 2,000 EURO." I will be popular and rich.) 2. The boy is always fearful at the beginning and brave at the end. I don't know why. Really I don't know. Sorry, no new therapy. 3. There is a ghost at the beginning and there is no ghost at the end. In fact, the ghost isn't really needed, for the story is about a family with problems. 4. There is a sister at the beginning and at the end of the movie - without any function. But its good for a young actress to get experience and money, so why not. /SPOILERRésumé The movie isn't funny, isn't spooky, has no suspense. I hopefully hope, that "Hui Buh" will be much, much better.
