I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

Fair sequel (more of a remake really) to the 2004 surprise hit. Clearly rushed into production to capitalize on the first film's success, there are probably plenty of moments that you can pick apart if you are so inclined (like when Eric Lively goes back in time for the first time and he knows that a car accident is about to happen but instead of pulling over his car immediately he merely orders Erica Durance to put on her seatbelt!), but in general it goes through its paces in a competent fashion. It even has the downbeat ending to match the "director's cut" version of the original, although it obviously doesn't have the same impact here. Still, the current 4.4 IMDb rating is too low; this is not even the worst movie sequel of its year! (Basic Instinct 2, anyone?) **1/2 of 4 stars.

Maybe it is just the fact that this is a sequel to my favorite movie of all time. But Im not exaggerating when i say this is the worst movie i have ever had the displeasure of viewing First lets start with the acting. NONE OF THEM WERE GOOD. Nick Larson was not convincing at all. He just didn't have a real seeming connection with anyone. Same goes for Julie Miller. Why do i care about her art pursuits ? She gives me no reason to. Such a boring character even in her SPOILER death. How could i forget about the awful script though? Whereas in the first movie the power of travelling back to fix things was used to fix truly messed up situations, this movie has Nick travelling back because him and his buddy got fired . Its not like their lives fell apart either , because the very day they get fired is when Nick goes back. Such a petty and selfish reason. There are many other things wrong with the movie, like how it can figure out what genre it wants to be with the corny , blood laced special effects. We could also talk about the poor film quality itself. Literally the actual picture quality is bad. We could also talk about how the movie has so many chances to delve into certain plot points but never does. All in all though, it just adds up to a terrible movie. No matter what way you look at it. The movie is bad. Disgraceful sequel to Such a good movie.

I watched this movie two years ago with my family members and we were all disappointed. There is almost nothing good about this movie except that my father paid money for it. This movie is much worse than the first one which was done very well. The first movie has a very huge impact on me but not this one. This one is extremely disappointing. There were just so many parts of this movie that we need to fast forward and there were so many nude and sexual scenes that practically doesn't serve any purpose in this movie. The only good thing about this movie is the ending. The rests of the parts of the movie were just pure boring. This movie is even worse than an average drama serial. There were some action in this movie but the standard of this movie is still very low because of the terrible storyline. There was a part in which the guy kept having a nose bleed. That makes completely no sense at all. Please stay away from this movie if you like the first one. This is probably one of the bottom five movies I have ever watched in my life. Score: 3 out of 10 stars (Very Poor)

It actually has a really good message at the end. Don't temper with time to adjust it to your personal needs. Life is a struggle. Not everything needs to be perfect. The first time Eric Lively's character changed the past was really worth it. He saved the lives of his pregnant girlfriend and two friends. But then, when he discovered his powers, he used them to fix everything that wasn't perfect, and, of course it went from bad to worse. After he made Julie and Trevor die again, he went back all away to the beginning of the film and sacrificed himself for Julie. So, he died in a car crash, allowing Trevor and Amanda to stay as they are and Julie to raise their son, who possibly inherited some of his father's abilities. The movie has some horror elements, but it's actually a psychological drama/thriller, in some ways similar to Donnie Darko (Although Drako is better). Acting performances are superb, especially Erica Durance, who plays Julie, Gina Holden, who plays Amanda, David Lewis, who plays Dave and Chris Gauthier. For everyone who loves this type of somehow confusing thrillers based in one's mind, this is a good choice to see.
