The Best Offer Audience Reviews

Linbeymusol Wonderful character development!
filippaberry84 I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
Sammy-Jo Cervantes There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.
Bob This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
Nelson Strang The film's called 'Deception', so you know going in that nothing will be what it seems. Unfortunately, as so little happens, the twist is completely predictable, which removes any suspense from the story. Geoffrey Rush is nonetheless transfixing and excels in this role. The film is way too long and slow, but it's watchable despite this.
pag-87-700442 Captivating from the start. The movie keeps the viewer full of curiosity with a perplexing storyline. Must watch in my opinion.
MartinHafer This story is about a very emotionally constricted art expert and auctioneer (Geoffrey Rush) and the bizarre woman he falls in love with who won't allow ANYONE to see her through much of the movie."The Best Offer" is a difficult film to describe. Suffice to say it's one where what you see and hear may not be exactly what is happening....something I like very much in a film. It kept me guessing and only near the end did I really understand much of the story. In addition, the acting was very good and the director did a lovely job setting the mood with the lighting, camera work and music. Overall, a very lovely film with an ending that was depressing but clever.
Barbara Ritthaler What a disappointment. The sets are beautiful and the movie starts of well and it is watchable, mostly because of Geoffrey Rush.. The Robert character is not believable and neither is Donald Sutherland's Billy. The story holds up until SPOILER BELOWthe protagonist is beaten up. After that, I immediately figured out where it was heading. The agoraphobic lady is so very annoying: a sane person would run away from her after the first phone call. She sounds so fake. The whole movie is fake and it's a shame, because it could have been so much better with little effort.
