tradeczar About half-way through watching Take Me Home - and expecting to at any minute start becoming disappointed - I began marveling that such a good romantic comedy could have been ignored by the major distribution companies. But even with that self-inflicted distraction, I can say that my enjoyment of Take Me Home pretty much stayed high from beginning to end. Certainly the chemistry of the two main characters can be explained to a degree by the fact that they are husband and wife. But that does not explain the quality of the other performances or the outstanding direction by Sam Jaeger. Comedy is difficult and I cannot remember the last time I enjoyed a romantic comedy as much as I enjoyed Take Me home. That this movie did not hit the US box offices is a sad statement about the state of the industry. Amber Jaeger was simply outstanding as Claire. But all other things being equal, had Take Me Home been made twenty years earlier with Sandra Bullock in the lead female role, it would have been appreciated for how good it really is.

Ramalingam R Take Me Home - perceptively a divine movie which is kind of rare to get. I absolutely felt Happiness and warmth after watching this brilliant film. The Cast Obviously got their thing. Sam Jaeger and Amber Jaeger definitely got their wonderful chemistry. The whole journey portrayed with a stunning screenplay and cinematography. The plot with the innocent characterization of Thom with hidden personal and claire with the regrettable memories carried us with them. There are no kisses and regular romantic things if you expect. Its a unbound type for a romantic movie. I loved the dialogues during thom's confession for his action when claire was asleep. I really really really had best time while watching this. If you ask me whenever i would say Take me home is one of the best romantic film i have ever seen of my entire life. Sam Jaeger's wonderful debut as director and cast with his wife is really romantic in real time. A true movie that will always be a sweet memory. Best couple in this movie and REAL LIFE too. I am thankful for this movie Jaegers. I LOVE YOU both for this heart melting treat. I wish them to give more like this. Take me home - wonderful in screenplay, cinematography, dialogues, music, casts, locations, direction. THE BEST EVER.

brushu Thought this was a fun "feel good" movie. No spoilers here. It is perfect to watch with the "one" you're closest to right now. If not maybe watch with somebody you'd like to get close to. Good humor, smart dialogue, fair to good acting. Very enjoyable all around. I also thought there were only a couple holes in the script. In other words the script continuity was within reason of being complete. The humor came in various forms. I like sideways subtle humor and there was a fair amount of that plus a little pratfall humor was fun. I did feel some of the drama was somewhat understated given the circumstances in the story. There were no major current social issues addressed. That was refreshing. The movie held respectful to the issues it did present. To top off the review I didn't notice any gratuitous stuff of any kind. For that I give it a ten.

dan-2710 The movie reminds me of John Cassavetes in its understatement of the tensions and drama of small moments. And the characters' flaws are not systematically, that is smoothly or monotonically remedied, so dramatic tension in the movie is sustained. No sex or glamor or exotic tricks are needed to bring this film home. The dialog is smart and honest and is pitched right for the scenes, not unnecessarily cleverMy daughter and I simultaneously remarked on Amber Jaeger's softness and beauty, one non-conforming to anorexic standards. A deep bench of talent in secondary roles, too. Because the two lead characters are married, their coming together in the final scene makes the movie feel like a tribute to their own marriage. I don't know if that's Sam Jaeger's intent.
