Submerged Audience Reviews

Steinesongo Too many fans seem to be blown away
SparkMore n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.
Fairaher The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
Bluebell Alcock Ok... Let's be honest. It cannot be the best movie but is quite enjoyable. The movie has the potential to develop a great plot for future movies
shakercoola Next stop Uruguay for Seagal. He's is a soldier of fortune freed from prison under the proviso that he and his oppos can stop a group of terrorists who have taken over a nuclear submarine. A sub-plot about mind control is a big distraction for his objective, and for viewers at home. Backstory and exposition is bypassed quickly and there are some amateurish visual effects from the get-go which combine to make very dull viewing, further weighed down by an irritating flashy visual style. There are one or two good action scenes but all in all it's a ridiculously convoluted plot which is difficult to engage with.
Adam Peters (3%) The ONLY upside to this awful movie is that big Steve paid off a few bills, besides that this really couldn't be much worse. Why can't the makers of these low budget action movies just keep things simple and make a fun watchable little time passer, is it really too much to ask? Seagal is his usual lazy self, and like many of his films these days his dialogue is clearly re-dubbed by someone else, it's all a little tragic really. Vinnie Jones tries, but just like every other "character" he's fighting a losing battle with a beyond terrible script/plot, appalling editing and lousy direction. The movie is awful, pure and simple, and it isn't even so bad it's almost good, just plain old boring cheapo garbage that belongs in a bank vault to be forgotten about forever.
swedzin This film is totally useless! With bad directing, bad editing, bad acting, everything. Well, what did you expect? Seagal (the fat, boring walrus) is the leading man, followed by Vinnie Jones (who seems to play himself also in more upcoming films, he was better in Guy Ritchie films) and Nick Brimble (he is a good actor, but I don't understand how he get here?). We also have Gary Daniels. Daniels is so cool, but I expected a cool fight scene with him and Seagal, but... you know Seagal... he is untouchable. Seagal plays Chris Cody, a member of US military who reunites with his old team to take down a mad scientist. Well whoopie-fuc*inkg-do! That team doesn't look like a team at all, there's no connection between them at all, and Seagal in his performance looks like he doesn't give a flying f**k about them. So, here's another Seagal film that takes away your insomnia.
Celticnationalist STEVEN SEAGAL's Direct-to-Video career since his last Theatrical bomb that was 'HALF PAST DEAD' 8 years ago has been pretty terrible, with the only half decent DTV release being 'BELLY OF THE BEAST' in a sea of awful trash, So my expectation were rock bottom going into this.SUBMERGED is not THAT bad, but it isn't THAT good either, in essence it's a rip-off of THE DIRTY DOZEN with STEVEN SEAGAL playing Mercenary Chris Cody being freed from Prison and reunited with his previously incarcerated team, but there is one catch, They have to take down a renegade Scientist who has created some sort of mind control technology which has turned American Soldiers into mind controlling killers. There's plenty of action throughout, especially in the last quarter with a very high body countCo-Starring B-Movie Martial Artist Gary Daniels in a minor role & Former Footballer turned Movie tough guy Vinnie Jones as one of the good guys. There really is no need to go into the acting on display, because this being a Seagal Flick - The Acting is neither here nor there, It's decently Directed by Anthony Hickox (who has dozens of B-Movies to his name) The Plot on the other hand is muddled and incoherent but I've come to expect that from Seagal.Pleasant enough trash, It's not up there with Seagal's best (Under Siege) but it won't go down among his worst (Flight of Fury,Into the Sun & Shadow Man) Keep your expectations low and if you're in the mood for some mindless action, then you should enjoy.*** out of *****
