I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.

I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

*Spoiler/plot- Stand up Reagan, 1989, This film explores the communication skills or Ron Reagan during his long career. It shares the many jokes and stories that he used in public speeches to illustrate his differing personal character to influence large amounts of people in and out of his Government service.*Special Stars- Ronald Reagan, Nancy Reagan, and members of the Reagan administration.*Theme- The American voters can sense an ethical and honest politician very time.*Trivia/location/goofs- Documentary, Stills and news footage.*Emotion- An interesting topic for this film and well explored. It's enjoyable, humorous, and insightful into a complex man trying to make a difference in his nation. It's exploration of a politician of the 80's is easily compared to the VERY DIFFERENT combative role that exists in grid-locked partisan government today. IN this film you realize that opponents of the same government body don't have to hate one another, but be classier and compromise for the benefit of all involved. Somehow after seeing this film, I can't help but think the 'Reagan way' was better suited to compromise, governing, and accomplishing the goals of the voters and nation. He was a master administrator and not given due credit for his actions at the time.

This is just Ronnie making a lot of jokes about the Soviet Union. Other clips where you can see the charm and charisma that got him into Hollywood and finally the White House. It is so very different from these days where if you were to see a compilation of George W. Bush's jokes they would be that funny or articulate. A collection of his bloopers would be funny. What I find most interesting about this video is that there was suspicion that Mr. Reagan wasn't all there towards the middle/end of his presidency and you notice him telling the same jokes with just slight wording adjustment. No matter what your political affiliation watch this video and you understand why he was called The Great Communicator.

This short film consists of a series of jokes and comments from this important American president. In the clips we get to see his sense of humor, and his personal humility. We also get to see his ability to connect with the common man.To see how Reagan did it one must observe his manner. In spite of being the most powerful man on the face of the Earth, Reagan remained the ordinary fellow that he had been for years. Perhaps modern politicians ought to study this tape and see what a man of the people is like.
