Slipknot: Disasterpieces Audience Reviews

KnotMissPriceless Why so much hype?
SincereFinest disgusting, overrated, pointless
Usamah Harvey The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
Ariella Broughton It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.
sheercold619 Disasterpieces offers a look into the chaos that is Slipknot live. They perform the very best songs off of the "Slipknot" and "Iowa" albums, including a rarity; Purity, a song that was removed from "Slipknot".The performance is covered by over 30 different cameras, and is filmed in the London Arena. The first disc covers the entire performance; From the band preparing for the show, to the band getting onto the stage, to the start of "People = Sh*t", and to the final song, "Surfacing". The 15 songs performed are as follows; "People = Sh*t", "Liberate", "Left Behind", "Eeyore", "Disasterpiece", "Purity", "Gently", "Eyeless", "My Plague", "New Abortion", "The Heretic Anthem", "Spit It Out", "Wait And Bleed", "(sic)", and "Surfacing". You get a look at the action from the sky, on the stage, and even from inside the masks of the members of the band. The second disc covers a ton of special features, alternate camera angles, and it includes a couple of music videos (Of the songs "My Plague", "Left Behind", "Wait And Bleed", the animated version of "Wait And Bleed", and "Spit It Out"), and a video clip of the song "Purity". You get to everything; and everyone at work. You see Joey drumming, Corey singing, Mick and James on their guitars, Paul on bass, Sid working the turntables, Shawn and Chris on custom percussion (and, at times, singing back-up vocals), and Craig sampling. The performance is wild, like every Slipknot performance, the crowd is energetic, and the guys perform the songs flawlessly. The piece left me extremely satisfied, and I'd recommend it to anyone that loves Slipknot like I do.
orale_vato_loco Im a huge fan of slipknot but i hadn't really got into them until IOWA came out. After i heard IOWA and had my ass kicked by the awesome tracks i decided to hear the first album which was still as good as IOWA. When The Subliminal verses came out i was stunned you could see how the band have evolved together with their songs. One of their best songs in my opinion is Duality but the whole album is fantastic. Most of the other albums had great songs still my favorite IE: Wait and Bleed, SPit it out, Liberate,Purity,Eyore, heretic anthem,Sic its safe to say i love all their songs lol. I had seen their video clips heaps of times and wondered if any concerts were around so i went looking and what did i find Disasterpieces. Now to be honest listening to their albums i would have expected a complete bad ass concert and it was better than that it was F**KING AWESOME. Corey is an absolute gun and sounded great live, the band were nuts not to mention Sid jumping off of platforms and during heretic anthem while the fire and pyro is going off he stands in the middle of it. He's a nut case, Shawn and Chris on percussion were like machines the whole show.Joey like always is just one of the best I've seen on drums not much action from Craig on samples but u can still see him in the background keeping busy. Mick And James were great and the whole performance was 2nd to none. I highly recommend this to any Slipknot fan or anyone else who want's to see a bunch of 9 crazy guys do what they do best 10/10
Aarseth1721 Never have I seen such a intense and tight live DVD as this one! Slipknot is known to be one of the loudest and fastest band around, and they certainly prove this on Disasterpieces. Shot in London with thousands of dedicated fans, it couldn't possibly go wrong, and it definitely didn't! The set list is based around their earliest recordings, the self titled debut Slipknot from 1999 and IOWA from 2001. Usually, it can be a bit boring to have so little songs to choose from, but in Slipknot's case, it's no problem at all, because both albums are very good. From the very first tune they play, the crowd in London, and also you, get psyched to a ecstatic level. Never have extreme music been this good on a DVD recording! They never rest, and keeps on pumping out agony and hate for nearly 2 hours. Many times when you listen to this type of music, it has a tendency to get boring and similar after a while. Slipknot is not one of these cases. When the last song is through, you wish that it continue, but it's sadly enough over.As bonus on this DVD you get some promo videos that are fairly cool, but not so much more is to find on the two discs. But hey, this release is ESSENTIAL and should be found in every metal lovers DVD collection.
FrighTy First off, anyone who said that the concert was too dark on their TV either got a bootlegged copy or has one crappy TV. OK, this two disc set is a must for anyone who likes SlipKnoT or heavy music in general. I know it's been said already, but I want to get the point across. The videos on disc two are amazing, with every video through the release of Iowa; including both versions of Wait and Bleed, and the director's cut of Left Behind. Now for the main reason to buy this DVD. The concert from start to finish is out-freaking-standing. Sid's leaps from higher points on stage, Shawn and Chris making percussion evil, Joey is god-like on drums, Mick and James are like twin powerhouses on guitar, and Corey's voice is the instrument that brings it all together. Combining all these on-stage elements with some of the best editing and camera work I've seen in any kind of film (no, really!), makes for some the heaviest hitting songs I've ever seen or heard. Log off your computer right now. Go on, do it. Now head to the store and pick up Disasterpieces. Stay (sic).
