Sinister Audience Reviews

Laikals The greatest movie ever made..!
Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
Robert Joyner The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
Sabah Hensley This is a dark and sometimes deeply uncomfortable drama
totarin-89193 I'm a horror movie fan and this movie was scaaaary! and really good too. Recommend it for sure. Actually, I saw the second one and it isn't worth it. Just watch this one
decalqueen For me, this is my favourite scary/horror movie. The story is clever, and revealed at a good pace. A couple of good scares at the beginning to get you in and then the story unfolds. The ending, for me, was unexpected. Other reviews have revealed the plot so all I can say is, if you want to see something different in the genre, see this. Don't confuse it with the sequel though.
jerralagbayani This movie was so disturbing I can't even watch it again!!! With the scenes of the tapes to the curse, Mr. Boogie is probably more scary than the Nun. It's the thought of how terrible it would be if those tapes were real. Every tape just seemed too real for me. I give it a 6/10 because I can't watch it again EVER. I'm being serious I may only watch it again if my friend coincidentally has the movie.
CinematicSyndrome Its rare for a horror movie to impress me, and this one simply shines with the perfect blend of horror, mystery, thriller and really invests one into the life of a true crime writer's life. Amazing performance by Ethan Hawk he always impresses and much credit goes to Scott Derrickson for the writing, definitely top notch for a horror movie. It consists of genuine scares throughout and executed perfectly. And what works about all this is that its all kept as grounded as possible. The end however wasn't that grounded which makes one think that it could have been better but its acceptable considering the plot was eventually gonna go that path. Still a lot better than most horror flicks,Verdict: Definitely worth checking out.
