it is the rare 'crazy' movie that actually has something to say.

Fanciful, disturbing, and wildly original, it announces the arrival of a fresh, bold voice in American cinema.

Basically the core plot ideas in this short film written and directed by Iván Sáinz-Pardo weren't bad at all. It's obviously all about dream versus reality for the two main characters Simone and her mother. The bus scene with the other children was nicely done and very atmospheric, but all in all I have to say this is a disappointment and inferior to the filmmaker's other famous short movie "Schneckentraum", which was almost nominated for an Oscar. This one here just gets too confusing and too smart for its own good. I wish they would have elaborated more on one or two things instead of constantly throwing new developments and plot directions in there. It feels a bit of style over substance and not in a good way. Sáinz-Pardo and lead actress Laura Sonntag have not worked on new projects for roughly 5 years now and I wonder if they will ever comeback. This effort here sadly not wants me to see more of them in the future. Not recommended.
