There's a good chance the film will make you laugh out loud, but if it doesn't, there's an even better chance it will make you openly sob.

True to its essence, the characters remain on the same line and manage to entertain the viewer, each highlighting their own distinctive qualities or touches.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

.Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.

Hi! hard to say how good this Movie is I want to say. Because: my Scandinavian soul is allergic to emotions, when there's drama like this - still I understand it's kind of... Well; good in several ways. There might be a crowd-pleasing stream going on, but it's nice of the filmmakers saying "hi" to the fans. Making a Movie with and about Håkan Hellström is hard for easily-affected people. I mean sometimes people can be influenced in a good way and sometimes they loose their concentration on set. Maybe that's what happened here. /Joel Kullberg HuhkolaPs Tomas Von Brömssen rocks as alwaysPs 2 (To the first "critic": the actress name is Disa Östrand)

Simply put, this film is made for very devoted Håkan Hellström fans who get a kick from recognizing references to Hellström's lyrics. As a story, though, it is borderline painful to sit through. About two thirds into the film I gave up trying to make sense of the characters' ever-changing motivations and just wanted the film to end. This is the first time I've wanted to leave the cinema in the middle of a film.Håkan Hellström has made many nice songs about everyday events, and the writers apparently thought it would be a good idea to take characters and events mentioned here and there in his lyrics, and try to glue them together into a feature-length film. This does not make for a coherent story, though. The characters, portrayed by otherwise competent actors, are cartoonishly one-dimensional. Their motivations change on a whim whenever something needs to happen or be said in order to make another reference to a Hellström lyric.Because that is the heart of this film; referencing lines and song titles from Hellström's body of work, all the time, and as literally as possible. Some scenes will make absolutely no sense to viewers that are not familiar with the particular lyric that's being referenced. Like the silent scene when Johnny decides out of nowhere to paint a black cloud on a wall and then sit down to sulk underneath it - thus referencing the (not mentioned in the film!) lyric "Johnny I like you / You have a black cloud over you".The plot is almost as whimsical as the characters, and can't decide what genre the film is supposed to be. Most of the time it's like a biopic drama, some romance, then suddenly it's a farce and then an action thriller, before it returns to biopic drama again.Much of the charm in Hellström's songs lie in the unpolished sincerity and energy of his singing voice, and this is somewhat lost when the actors re-enact some songs for a few musical numbers, although they're clearly doing their best. This film has a good amount of pretty photography to go with the music, but as a mere "casual" Hellström fan who was hoping for an actual plot, I felt the writing insulted my intelligence.

Directors Mårlind/Stein are back from Hollywood and makes a very Swedish movie. You must be from here to appreciate it or dislike it. Otherwise you may be a little indifferent. This guy has stage-fright. Since childhood, he has thought he will die if somebody's watching him performing. That's of course an obstacle for his career.Well, if you are from Sweden, you'll get a little touched and you find that Gothenburg has never been so beautiful. A saga city. Even the port is beautiful, which has nothing to do with reality and the same goes for the many dream sequences and bittersweet love stories.

This movie can be seen on different levels:1. You don't know about Håkan Hellström, or maybe you dislike his music = You will probably enjoy the movie anyway.2. You think Hellström is good or at least pretty good, and know some of his songs = You will think this movie is fantastic.3. You are a HUGE fan of Håkan = You will be in heaven.I knew it before even seeing the movie for the first time, at the world premier, that "Känn ingen sorg" would be my new favourite movie. As a huge fan of this man and his music, I found so many references to Håkan's lyrics and life that I was overwhelmed."Känn ingen sorg" is a very emotional movie. One very positive thing with this film is that the "emotions" does not only consist of happy love and kisses in the moonlight. "Känn ingen sorg" is just as tragic as happy.Watch this extremely well made film. Follow Pål Gullberg, aka Håkan Hellström, on his way through the Swedish summer, through Gothenburg. And follow Eva (Disa Sjöstrand), the sexiest character to ever appear in a movie.
