Shania Twain: Live Audience Reviews

AniInterview Sorry, this movie sucks
BroadcastChic Excellent, a Must See
Matylda Swan It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties.
Staci Frederick Blistering performances.
joltjohn Shania Twain Live may benefit from plenty of polish and more than a little calculation in its staging, but the singer-songwriter's long apprenticeship in lounge bands and resort revues north of the border is apparent. Whether one loves or loathes her songs, Twain herself comes across as a seasoned performer who knows how to work the audience. Equally apparent, and equally unlikely to resolve the division between fans and foes, is Twain's crossover agenda. Scaled for the arenas that Twain and her handlers targeted early on, the concert is closer in pace and power-chords to a mainstream rock show than most country acts, an orientation that aligns the star with Garth Brooks's swaggering attack rather than most country songstresses. Her band may boast three fiddlers, but their slashing attack emulates the kilowatt buzz of the rock guitarists that share the scrim, who pull off familiar string-bending flourishes. The set list is a generous one, reproducing most of Twain's back-to-back platinum albums, and illustrates her skill at mixing melting ballads, flirtatious rockers that enable her to strut her physical beauty, and songs testifying to her self-reliance.Songs: Man! I Feel Like a Woman! Honey I'm Home, You Win My Love, Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?, You're Still the One, I Won't Leave You Lonely, Come on Over, Love Gets Me Every Time, I'm Holdin' on to Love, When, Medlay: Home Ain't Where His Hear Is (Anymore)/The Woman in Me (Needs the Man in You)/You've Got a Way, That Don't Impress Me much, If It Don't Take Two, Black Eyes, Blue Tears, God Bless the Child, To Daddy, What Made You Say That, No One Needs to Know, Any Man of Mine, Don't Be Stupid (You Know I Love You), From This Moment On, (If You're Not in It for Love) I'm Outta Here!, Any Man of Mine (Reprise), Rock This Country!. Final thoughs weather you like this concert dependsif like Shania's songs and the way she looks. If You doo than this is 10/10 if not than it won't be. For me i gave it 8/10.
Axiom-2 This is another fine DVD release. "Shania Twain" is the best selling female artist of all time, & this concert proves it. It is from her "Come On Over" World Tour & the sound & picture are excellent. I hope that they release all of her music video's on DVD soon...Her husband Robert John "Mutt" Lange of Def Leppard fame, has really sent her music career over the top. Look forward to their next release.
