The joyful confection is coated in a sparkly gloss, bright enough to gleam from the darkest, most cynical corners.

It is interesting even when nothing much happens, which is for most of its 3-hour running time. Read full review

What were they trying to make. People were thinking something exciting will happen till the last moment , I had hope give me something even a single point why this movie has been made, but no it wasted my time my money and moved me to a depressing state. I had to go to a doctor to overcome the depression this movie has done to me. Now I am alright and writing this review as people of Indian cinema should make good movies or stop calling your self creative person, as you have done enough copying, itna cheating to koi exam main bhi nahi karta hai. I read some reviews and people were calling Roy as a classy movie, so i just have one answer go and see real classy movies like Godfather, Shawshank where there happened something in the story.

Roy- 2015 Director:Vikramjit SinghHow on Earth Ranbir Kapoor agreed to sign this film? OK, we know you haven't done a film since 2013 but that doesn't mean that an actor like you will give a preference to such a film in which half of the time you're quite. Disappointed on your part because people went to cinemas to spend 2 hours to see your silence.Well is it said With great hotness, comes great power. That's how Arjun Rampel has made his audience drop their jaws with his looks. Actors like Arjun Rampal and Ranbir Kapoor wasted their talent by doing this film. The worst part was a poor script, poor plotting, some very illogical parts, direction was fine but after 40 to 50 minutes no one will love to spend the rest of an hour to watch this movie. The songs were Good and if you're a BIG FAT fan of Jacqueline Fernandez Arjun Rampal and Ranbir Kapoor Only then go for it.

Review in a nutshell - Fight club had a one night stand with Kartik calling Kartik and ROY is the ugly b@stard child that nobody wants to adopt.Jacqueline is heart broken over the fact that Arjun (playing a famous director) used their one night fling in Malaysia as inspiration for the female lead (Tia) in his movie????? Ranbir is a figment of Arjun's imagination (totally ripped a page off fight club (sans fighting) - Ed Norton and Brad Pitt). This is the best part - the real world scenario played by Arjun and Jacko is so far fetched from REALITY, it's pathetic! If you think i'm being harsh, ask yourself - WHY would anyone male/female be heartbroken after finding out they're the inspiration behind the movie character?(let alone BREAK UP with a famous Director after finding out).. ugh... i'm not buying this cr@p! WHoever enjoyed this movie needs to see their therapist IMMEDIATELY or enter a drug rehab program! ciao!

A staggeringly poor film. Every single moment is dull and lifeless. The acting is beyond wooden, the script nonsensical and the cinematography, which has received some praise, is nothing special. Rampal and Fernandez look nice, but cannot carry a film - scenes between the two of them lack any spark. The characters are silly and do not resemble real people in any way. I cannot think of a single scene or moment that was in any way interesting. It's desperate to be cool and mysterious, but it's actually crushingly stupid. The lack of even unintentional laughs or entertainment make it one of the least enjoyable films I've ever seen.
