Romancing the Bride Audience Reviews

AniInterview Sorry, this movie sucks
Grimossfer Clever and entertaining enough to recommend even to members of the 1%
Janae Milner Easily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.
Anoushka Slater While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.
ukvetch It's unoriginal, badly written, and downright racist at times, but Carrie Fisher made me laugh out loud several times ("They're your bitches" is my favorite, but you have to watch the movie for the set-up). Almost all of the Mexican characters were the usual stock stereotypes, from the corrupt, bumbling cops to mama and the big family throwing a fiesta. But that said, the scenery and the lead actors were pretty to look at. Pleasant enough to watch if there's nothing else on and you're willing to let your brain turn to mush. If you liked that dreadful Matthew Perry/Salma Hayek movie from about 10 years ago, then you'll probably be able to sit through this one.
sternfan88 I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. There's no unnecessary buildup to the plot line; it gets going right after the credits. Prepon, from That 70s Show, is not much different from her character on the show. It will be interesting to see if she turns out to be more than a one note actress. There are some unbelievable moments (beside the whole premise of the movie): like changing clothes with handcuffs on. How does one pull a top over their head with cuffs on!?!? Things like that really annoy me.Carrie Fiaher's character is laugh out loud funny as 'The Ugly American' in another country. The leading male character is a good looking and funny actor. This was a pretty good romantic comedy. After reading some of the other reviews I almost skipped this one but I'm glad I didn't.
James Weinberg (jasarthur) We all trudged through this B movie hell-bent on getting some benefit from our rental fee. Lame plot, stiff acting, bad direction, amateur camera-work... Have I forgotten anything? Oh yeah, Carrie Fisher is nothing short of sad. Very pathetic what's become of Princess Leia. My wife and I figured she had a stroke or perhaps did too many drugs. She was absolutely monolithic, that is, one face, one emotion, one tone of voice. And the girl! Leave her in some half-baked sitcom, please! And since when is a guy being a hunk criteria for granting a movie a positive review? Has everyone's brain turned to tapioca? Go watch some porn and quit providing an audience for film school dropouts.
CFisherFan89 I really enjoyed this movie. The cast is wonderful and seem to work well together. Laura and Matt definitely have great on screen chemistry. I love it when Mellissa attacks the cop and takes off only to end up in crocodile infested waters. Carrie had me laughing throughout the whole movie! (I originally watched this because she was in it, now I'd watch it again for the movie itself.) My favorite line from this movie is when Edwina(Fisher)says: "Are you trying to tell me you got loaded and laid the day before your wedding, who do you think you are, Me?" I also love how Edwina stops Bryan from telling his parents the wedding is off. I have to give Mellissa's sister some credit for threatening to make it her mission in life to marry a Mexican man if her mother didn't let Carlos go. If you like light romantic comedies, then this is the perfect movie for you.
