I was totally surprised at how great this film. You could feel your paranoia rise as the film went on and as you gradually learned the details of the real situation.

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

I liked this movie I remember there was one very well done scene in this movie where Riff Randell (played by P.J. Soles) is lying in her bed smoking pot and then she begins to visualize that the Ramones are in the room with her sing the song "I Want You Around" ...very very cool stuff. It was fun, energetic, quirky and cool. Yes I'll admit that the ending is way-way over the top and far fetched ...but it doesn't matter because it is fun this is a very fun movie. It's Sex, Pot and Rock n Rocll foreverI read that Cheap Trick was the band who was originally to star in this ..But I do not know if this is true or not

I was an extra on this shoot in 1979. I cannot confirm IMDb's location information. We shot the scenes I was in in an abandoned Catholic high school in Watts. Some German order of brothers. Fascinating to sit during breaks in filming and read the old yearbooks form the 1930's featuring the "Anti-Communist Club." Comments about how old PJ Soles was/looked are appropriate. I was 28 at the time and the AD could not decide whether to use me as a parent or a student. Decided on student.Only the cast and extras of that age even knew who Ramones were. The actual high school kids they rented (the football team and cheerleaders) had no idea who Ramones were or what kind of music they played.Great thrill to be in the scene where they blow up a high school. I was not so far away from my own high school days.

One of the greatest rock movies of all-time. Heck, one of the greatest MOVIES of all-time IMO - right up there with "THIS IS SPINAL TAP" for me. PJ Soles, Clint Howard, many classic lines and scenes and put out using a lot of music from "ROAD TO RUIN", one of my absolute favorite Ramones recordings. You gotta check this movie out if you're any kind of Ramones fan at all, it's awesome! B-Movie production and humor at it's finest. DO NOT bother with the sequel to this movie, though... much like the second CADDYSHACK movie (yes, there were two) it's awful. Spinal Tap, this movie and The Who's QUADROPHENIA are probably the three MUST-SEE rock movies of all-time for me... and Pink Floyd's THE WALL would get an honorable mention as well. Buy it, rent it, just get a copy and check it out, you WON'T be disappointed :)

I seriously love this film so much, I never get sick of watching it. The only line I really can't stomach in this is when Riff calls herself a teenage lobotomy but other than that, everything else is perfect. I've never been a fan of PJ Soles and it didn't help to hear that she didn't even know who the Ramones were until she filmed this movie, but I can ignore her snarly little face for the most part. Most people who watch this over and over are fans of the Ramones and really.. that's the only reason I love it so much. I never get tired of seeing DeeDee mess up his Pizza lines or Joey mess up the name of the teacher over and over, haha. One of the best parts of the film is seeing them sing do you want to dance , down the halls of the high school.. I love it. The special edition DVD has a good retrospective, surprisingly PJ Soles isn't on it. Maybe she was working on another project *laugh* Anyway, great film, even better if you're a Ramones fan.
