Robot Chicken: DC Comics Special Audience Reviews

GazerRise Fantastic!
Dorathen Better Late Then Never
Myron Clemons A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.
Rosie Searle It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Mr-Fusion What the DC Special does a bit better than the Star Wars specials is offer a more cohesive riff on the subject matter. Somehow it feels less random, and that actually makes things feel more . . . well, special. Outside of that, this is precisely the Robot Chicken sense of humor you either love or hate. If you're looking for more of Superman and Batman, they're not M.I.A., but it's spread to a much more diverse cast. And that's a positive.
Horst in Translation (filmreviews@web.de) "Robot Chicken: DC Comics Special" is a 23-minute television short film that was used as an appetizer for season 6 of "Robot Chicken" 3 years ago. There is obviously some Star Wars stuff, but here director Seth Green takes a journey into the world of superheroes. Apart from his usual voice cast, he gets help from Neil Patrick Harris, Megan Fox, Alfred Molina and Aaron Paul in this Emmy nominated special. The humor is basically the same as usual for "Robot Chicken" and from my perspective that means bad. There are really not that many funny scenes in here and the animation isn't my cup of tea either. sad to see they decided to make 2 more specials, maybe more to come, with this first one already being a failure. Sorry, but humor along the lines of Two-Face taking releasing a turd in the bathroom is simply not enough these days. Not recommended, even if I admit it was nice to see all these superheroes and supervillains united in one movie.
