If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.

Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.

A couple of years ago I saw the first bit of what seems to be an absolutely refreshing approach of the sci-fi story telling. It's so refreshing to see a non-human protagonist, instead of all those generic Hollywood faces. The story itself is awesome and NEEDS a full length movie!

...or against the supremacy of machines. technically impeccable, it is one of films who use, in inspired manner, an idea who seems be so familiar. and this is its basic virtue - to propose a coherent story escaping from the circle of specific genre. because it is a story about the force of vulnerability. about values, heroism and a future of humanity who sounds not real unrealistic. a film about courage and honor. reminding great Sci. Fi series. so, little more than a good short film.

"R'ha" is an American animated short film from 3 years ago. It runs for 6 minutes and is the first filmmaking effort by Kaleb Lechowski. This is probably also why you should not be too hard on his work here. Still, unfortunately, it's a very forgettable effort. The animation is fine, but that's the only plus I can think of. The characters are not particularly interesting and same can be said about the story, to an even bigger degree. Instead of elaborating on an edge-of-seat story in terms of writing, they seemed to have invested it all in the special effects, so we see the Statue of Liberty collapse for example. The ending is somewhat open, so it looks like a possibility that there will be a sequel at some point, maybe even a full feature. However, this is still Lechowski's only filmmaking effort to this date, so maybe that's all we got. I would not be too mad about it as watching this short film did not get me interested in a possible second film. Not recommended.

If you haven't seen this yet, you can expect nothing short of the most mind-blowing 6:26 of your life. "R'ha" seems to have gained conceptual influence from the two video games series: Starcraft and Half Life 2. Therefore, expect a plot pertaining to apocalyptic sci-fi. Guaranteed, if you can stand Star Trek and its counterparts, you won't regret watching "R'ha". It's intense. It's thrilling. It's epic. "R'ha" has exceptional visuals and animation. The sound effects were also phenomenal -- constantly resonating heart-shaking, intense sounds which complement and supplement the film. This short CGI film resonates a truly dark atmosphere and could be classified as a horror film. I'd definitely pay a good $18.50 to watch the full-length IMAX movie version of this!
