A free-associative exploration of disconnection and memory subjectivity told through the interconnected narratives of two failing relationships. Nicholas is writing a new play to preserve the memory of his last relationship. During rehearsal, he becomes preoccupied with projecting his unquenched desires onto his lead actress Anna, moulding her into a copy of his previous girlfriend, becoming tangled in a self-perpetuating cycle of self-destruction. Simultaneously, Arnold, a homeless teenager, embarks on an intense affair with an older married woman. The two narratives parallel and collapse into one another, with the two men connected through some kind of unspoken psychic link.
